Premier Bank Kenya is seeking qualified and results-driven professionals to join its Business Banking team in Malindi, Nakuru, Wajir, Garissa and Nairobi. The roles focus on expanding the Bank’s asset and liability portfolios, managing business and corporate relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting the execution of business strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Grow the Bank’s asset and liability business by meeting assigned performance targets and developing profitable customer portfolios.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with established companies, institutions and business customers.
Work closely with senior client representatives to understand their financial needs and provide suitable financing solutions and structures.
Maintain regular contact with assigned customers, ensuring their expectations are understood and that they receive appropriate information about the Bank and its products.
Monitor changing customer needs and develop initiatives that strengthen customer satisfaction and the Bank’s competitive position.
Work with branch management to facilitate day-to-day transactions for corporate clients while ensuring appropriate risk controls are maintained.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell relevant banking products and services based on individual customer requirements.
Research target markets and develop a strong pipeline of prospective customers from identified business sectors.
Ensure all customer dealings comply with KYC, AML and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Contribute to collaborative initiatives and cross-functional activities that support the Bank’s wider strategic objectives.
Prepare periodic reports on business development and marketing activities as required.
Manage and grow existing portfolios while protecting established revenue streams.
Develop structured customer engagement plans, including regular calls and visits to existing clients and prospects.
Structure and negotiate financing and leasing arrangements within approved policies and guidelines.
Coordinate services for assigned customers and monitor compliance with contractual commitments.
Support customer retention initiatives while identifying additional opportunities for business growth.
Provide professional relationship management and financial guidance to a diverse portfolio of business customers.
Identify new financing opportunities, negotiate appropriate arrangements and prepare proposals for approval.
Participate in developing and implementing strategies for the corporate and business banking segment.
Apply a value-focused approach to managing costs and improving business efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or another relevant discipline.
Professional banking qualifications or training such as AKIB or ACIB will be an advantage.
A background in business development is desirable.
At least one year of relevant experience in a similar banking or business development role, with demonstrated results.
Previous experience in banking or another financial institution is required.
Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and successfully grow financing and asset portfolios.
A strong interest and proven ability in sales, business development and client relationship management.

Remuneration

Job Summary
The Direct Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, promoting the Bank’s products and services, acquiring new customers and providing basic customer support while escalating complex matters through the appropriate channels.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell the Bank’s products and services to prospective and existing customers.
Use cross-selling opportunities to increase product adoption and expand the customer base.
Encourage prospective customers to open accounts and follow up with inactive, dormant or unfunded accounts to promote continued usage.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales records.
Follow up on referrals and leads with the aim of converting prospects into active customers.
Conduct market visits and gather information about customer preferences, market conditions and emerging opportunities.
Share relevant market feedback with sales managers and supervisors.
Support product launches, marketing activations and promotional campaigns designed to increase awareness and customer engagement.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports as required.
Maintain an updated pipeline of prospective business and provide management with accurate sales information.
Present the Bank’s account and product offerings to prospective customers and clearly communicate their benefits.
Support the achievement of overall business and sales objectives.
Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related discipline.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field is preferred.
Professional sales qualifications or additional relevant experience will be an advantage.
At least one year of relevant experience in a similar sales position, preferably with a demonstrable record of achieving results.
Experience in sales, business development or customer service.
Strong ability to generate leads, develop relationships and convert prospects into customers.
