About the Role
&Beyond is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to oversee financial reporting, stock controls, forecasting, and selected administrative functions relating to lodge operations and staff matters. The role will also supervise and support accounts and stores personnel while ensuring compliance with established financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and information across all business units at Suyian Lodge.
Uphold strong financial controls, standards, and accountability.
Supervise, mentor, and train accounting clerks and other relevant staff.
Ensure finance activities and reporting are completed within required deadlines.
Provide training and support to employees with different levels of experience.
Investigate and resolve general ledger queries.
Support the Finance Controller with accounting and financial matters.
Reconcile clearing accounts, inter-lodge transactions, and other assigned accounts.
Analyse and interpret management accounts and financial performance.
Participate in monthly finance meetings and provide input on financial results where required.
Verify that business expenses are properly authorised and correctly allocated.
Maintain effective inventory control procedures and support physical stock counts.
Assist with internal audits and monitoring of lodge financial controls.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial systems, processes, and procedures.
Support the preparation of budgets and quarterly financial forecasts.
Provide assistance to staff using the Panstrat system.
Review Front of House systems to ensure compliance with financial procedures.
Assist with year-end audit preparations and requirements.
Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and prepare relevant reports.
Compile and maintain sustainability statistics and related reports.
Support the renewal and coordination of camp operating licences with government authorities.
Ensure financial systems and procedures produce accurate information from multiple platforms.
Monitor vehicle fleet performance through relevant statistical reports.
Process lodge accounts payable and receivable transactions in line with group policies.
Reconcile local supplier statements against general ledger records.
Prepare, review, and process payments to local creditors.
Submit weekly cash-flow requirements to the Nairobi office.
Review and approve cheque payment vouchers generated at the camp.
Monitor M-Pesa payments and ensure they comply with established procedures.
Coordinate statutory inspections and audits, including NEMA, health and safety, fire, motor vehicle, public health, airstrip, and ecotourism requirements.
Prepare monthly payroll input schedules and ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and collective bargaining requirements.
Review local purchase orders before they are submitted for final authorisation.
Monitor the lodge IT system and report technical problems to the relevant IT team.
Prepare monthly leave, off-duty, and physical stock count schedules.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements
CPA III qualification.
Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
Experience in inventory management.
Willingness to complete an Excel assessment during the interview process.

About the Role
&Beyond is looking for an experienced and adaptable Operations Manager to support the smooth running of lodge operations while maintaining high standards of guest service, team performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Safari Shop Hosts, Night Porters, housekeeping, maintenance, and massage teams.
Conduct daily team briefings, provide constructive feedback, and promote a culture focused on service excellence.
Coordinate communication between department heads and the Lodge Manager to ensure efficient daily operations.
Engage directly with guests, host meals, respond to concerns, and provide operational support during busy periods.
Participate in Heads of Department meetings and conduct regular operational inspections.
Review guest feedback and identify areas where service standards can be improved.
Prepare performance reports, assess operational trends, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Organise training for direct reports and support employees in developing their leadership capabilities.
Relief Responsibilities
Take responsibility for lodge operations when the Lodge Manager is away.
Step in as F&B Manager when required, overseeing kitchen and service teams, stock management, costs, and guest satisfaction.
Coordinate housekeeping schedules and inspect guest and staff accommodation.
Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are consistently maintained.
Ensure daily operations support the lodge’s long-term objectives and sustainability commitments.
Provide comprehensive operational handovers when managers return.
Maintain a visible presence across the lodge during management transitions.
Act as a key point of contact for guest requests and ensure continuity of service.
