Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Business Development Manager – Agency Incubation, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for increasing revenue and growing the General Insurance and Medical business portfolio. The role will focus on developing assigned markets and intermediary channels while building profitable business relationships that support the company’s annual targets.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong partnerships with assigned clients and intermediaries.
Manage the sales process effectively while delivering value-focused customer service.
Apply effective customer relationship management practices to support business growth and retention.
Monitor sales and retention performance and prepare reports against agreed targets.
Drive revenue growth by managing daily sales activities within the assigned market.
Keep clients updated on existing products and new business offerings.
Work with internal departments to ensure clients and intermediaries receive efficient and timely service.
Prepare and submit quotations and tender documentation to clients and intermediaries within the required timelines.
Participate in departmental planning and budgeting activities.
Support compliance with credit control requirements, including cash collection and debt recovery.
Strengthen intermediary relationships through regular visits, performance reviews, training, support and motivation.
Plan and conduct market activations and outreach activities in targeted areas through physical visits and other suitable approaches.
Monitor competitor activities and assess potential opportunities and risks arising from market developments.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
C.O.P qualification will be an added advantage.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in insurance sales.
Pharmacy Assistant

About the Role
The Pharmacy Assistant will support the daily operations of the CIC pharmacy by helping maintain efficient workflows and providing quality pharmaceutical services to customers and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing and Preparation
Review prescriptions accurately and dispense medications in accordance with applicable legal and professional requirements.
Identify possible drug interactions, contraindications and adverse reactions.
Prepare and compound pharmaceutical products according to prescribed instructions.
Inventory Management
Monitor pharmaceutical stock levels to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
Ensure medicines are stored under appropriate conditions and in line with safety and quality standards.
Assist with purchasing and replenishment of pharmaceutical supplies.
Patient Counselling
Explain medication use, possible side effects, interactions and other relevant information clearly to patients.
Provide guidance on over-the-counter medicines, supplements and general health-related concerns.
Encourage patients to follow prescribed treatment plans to support positive health outcomes.
Offer appropriate advice concerning non-prescription products and supplements.
Health and Wellness Promotion
Support the coordination and delivery of wellness initiatives such as CIC Dawa Mlangoni and the CDM programme through timely medicine distribution.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals
Work with healthcare service providers to support effective patient care.
Communicate with prescribers when clarification is required regarding medication-related matters.
Review pharmacy prescriptions and provide technical support on relevant claims.
Customer Service
Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for customers.
Respond to customer questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Assist in resolving issues involving medicine availability, insurance matters and prescription refills.
Compliance and Record Keeping
Ensure pharmacy activities comply with applicable laws, regulations and professional standards.
Maintain accurate and current patient information and prescription records.
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Continuing Professional Development
Keep informed about new medicines, treatments and developments in healthcare.
Maintain commitment to Continuous Professional Development.
Participate in relevant learning and training programmes to maintain professional competence.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and possession of a valid practising licence.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in retail pharmacy operations.
Key Competencies
Good knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations and professional requirements.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in medical software and inventory management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of insurance claims service and billing procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Call Centre Nursing Executive (Contract)

About the Role
The Call Centre Nursing Executive will provide customer support to medical business clients, responding to healthcare-related enquiries and assisting insured members with medical service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and respond to medical emergency calls while supporting continuous 24-hour call centre coverage.
Handle telephone calls, visitors and customer communication received through electronic and physical channels.
Process inpatient and outpatient approvals for eligible requests involving insured members.
Communicate case management information and financial liability details to relevant stakeholders through appropriate reports.
Contribute information required for customer service reporting.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports as requested.
Participate in initiatives designed to manage and control healthcare costs.
Address customer enquiries and service-related concerns promptly.
Escalate customer matters to the appropriate personnel whenever necessary.
Maintain a professional and suitable environment within the office.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing (KRCHN).
Training in Customer Experience will be an added advantage.
At least 3 years of experience working in a busy healthcare environment.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical call centre management unit.
