Job Summary
Echo Network Africa (ENAF) is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Intern to support the Financial Resources Management Division in Nairobi. Reporting to the Accountant, the intern will gain practical experience in financial administration, including ERP transactions, bank and General Ledger reconciliations, invoice and receipt processing, audit preparation, document checks and financial records management. The position offers exposure to financial operations and compliance within a donor-funded non-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities
Enter assigned financial transactions into the ERP system on a daily basis to support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Assist with preparing journal vouchers, receipts and supporting documents required for financial reporting.
Ensure financial documentation complies with donor requirements, organizational policies and established procedures.
Support the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for designated cashbooks and General Ledger reconciliations.
Help process supplier invoices and identify transactions subject to withholding tax (WHT) and withholding VAT (WHVAT).
Compile the required documentation to support tax compliance and payment processing.
Assist in preparing audit schedules and ensuring income and expenditure are properly classified ahead of the annual audit.
Review RLF KYC documentation and assist in confirming that the required records are complete.
Maintain orderly and timely filing of payment vouchers and other financial documents.
Carry out other finance-related responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or an equivalent field.
CPA Intermediate Level 2 qualification.
At least one year of experience in a busy donor-funded organization or a comparable environment.
Working understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is required.
Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Good problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Demonstrates a growth-oriented approach to work.
Strong communication and presentation skills.

Job Summary
Echo Network Africa (ENAF) is seeking an experienced GESI Officer to provide technical, coordination, implementation, monitoring and administrative support for the integration of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) across the Youth in Sustainable Aquaculture (YISA) Consortium.
Based at the Farm Africa Kisumu office, the officer will work with six consortium partners, Local Implementing Partners (LIPs), Local Service Providers (LSPs), Village-Based Advisors (VBAs), Beach Management Units (BMUs) and county teams operating across six counties. The role will support the integration of gender equality, disability inclusion, safeguarding and participant protection throughout programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Gender Specialist to incorporate GESI, disability inclusion and safeguarding principles into YISA activities, participant training and partner operations.
Collaborate with the communications team to develop, modify and distribute relevant training materials, guidelines and toolkits.
Coordinate GESI activities across the six counties in collaboration with County Assistants and programme teams.
Prepare training presentations and facilitate GESI sensitization sessions for partners and community structures.
Coordinate logistical and financial requisitions related to field activities and assist with monitoring visits.
Identify gaps in GESI integration among partners and provide appropriate coaching, mentorship and technical support.
Record and share effective practices and lessons learned from programme implementation.
Work with Gender Focal Points within BMUs and LIPs to promote awareness of GBV prevention.
Support confidential GBV referrals through approved pathways to appropriate specialized services.
Organize and document bi-weekly consortium GESI meetings.
Follow up partner action points and maintain an updated tracker of agreed commitments.
Gather, compile and verify GESI-related activity information.
Check participant registration and reimbursement records for accuracy.
Manage relevant data using collection and reporting platforms such as ODK and Kobo.
Prepare detailed progress reports, briefs and presentations based on collected programme information.
Ensure compliance with ENAF and Farm Africa safeguarding requirements.
Protect participant confidentiality and report safeguarding or protection concerns through the appropriate official channels.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Community Development or a related discipline.
At least five years of professional experience in GESI mainstreaming, gender-transformative programming or social development.
Strong understanding of gender-transformative approaches and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) concepts.
Experience with data collection platforms such as ODK and Kobo.
Knowledge of project management, documentation and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong ability to engage and work with different stakeholders.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.
Good problem-solving capabilities.
