Area Manager – Maintenance
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Area Manager – Maintenance to lead the maintenance and restoration of the organization's fibre optic network, network nodes, and 4G infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance teams, coordinate field operations, and ensure reliable network performance while maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for fibre optic networks, network nodes, and 4G infrastructure to ensure maximum network availability.
Supervise maintenance teams and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational standards.
Monitor network performance, identify faults, and implement timely corrective measures to minimize service interruptions.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve network reliability and reduce downtime.
Coordinate restoration efforts during network outages and ensure incidents are resolved within agreed service levels.
Manage field operations, monitor team productivity, and promote compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, regulatory authorities, vendors, and internal departments.
Prepare maintenance reports, monitor key performance indicators, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree or Higher National Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
A minimum of six years' experience in telecommunications network maintenance and support, including at least three years in a supervisory or management role.
Proven experience leading technical teams and coordinating the work of external contractors.
Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications and electrical infrastructure with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Excellent leadership, planning, and project coordination skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.
Stores Assistant
Position Overview
The Stores Assistant will support the efficient operation of the stores by managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and recording of inventory. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring materials are readily available to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials to verify quantity and quality against supporting documentation.
Issue inventory to authorized users while maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock records.
Organize and store materials appropriately to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and preservation.
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy.
Update inventory records within the organization's ERP or inventory management system.
Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to support timely replenishment.
Ensure stores are maintained in a clean, secure, and well-organized condition.
Assist in preparing inventory reports and support periodic stock audits.
Comply with company policies and established inventory control procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Stores Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
At least two years of experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, or logistics operations.
Practical experience using ERP or inventory management systems; knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of inventory management principles, stock control practices, and warehouse procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and record-management skills with close attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
