Assistant Workshop Manager
Lead Pharmacist
Assistant Workshop Manager
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure daily operations support organizational objectives, agreed KPIs, quality standards, and management requirements.
Coach and supervise workshop personnel on technical procedures, standard operating procedures, approved work practices, documentation templates, and expected performance standards.
Assist HR and management with recruitment, onboarding, attendance administration, shift scheduling, leave coordination, staff appraisals, training arrangements, disciplinary matters, and employee exit processes.
Support the implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, including safety committee activities, workplace audits, hazard assessments, permit processes, and safe-work practices.
Coordinate the effective use, maintenance, servicing, repair, and record-keeping of workshop tools, machinery, vehicles, PPE, appliances, and other operational assets.
Assist with procurement and inventory planning by monitoring stock levels, initiating replenishment, engaging suppliers, maintaining appropriate store arrangements, and ensuring accurate documentation of goods received, issued, returned, and transferred.
Maintain effective administrative controls covering document filing, archiving, records management, internal communication, stationery, document circulation, and compliance with established procedures.
Monitor workshop access and security arrangements, including visitor management, staff movements, key control, official stamps, disposal of replaced spare parts, client asset handovers, internal inspections, and other security-related activities.
Assist with preparing bills of quantities, quotations, estimates, job cards, worksheets, insurance-related documentation, task completion records, asset identification labels, client equipment inspection reports, and repair plans.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the workshop by ensuring proper waste segregation, PPE cleaning, yard maintenance, engine-room housekeeping, service-bay organization, and overall workplace cleanliness and safety.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
At least five (5) years of experience overseeing operations in a large and high-volume automotive workshop.
Sound knowledge of occupational safety, fire safety procedures, first-aid requirements, and workplace/site safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Practical experience in workshop administration, purchasing, inventory management, employee supervision, and operational reporting.
Willingness and ability to work in Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, or other locations within Kenya.

Lead Pharmacist
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Strategy and Service Development
Provide strategic leadership in the establishment, expansion, standardization, and continuous improvement of pharmacy services across the organization's facilities.
Develop and implement pharmacy strategies that support organizational priorities and facilitate the growth of clinics, pharmacies, infusion centres, and other healthcare facilities across the country.
Support the design and implementation of pharmacy services in newly established facilities, including workflow design, staffing models, quality systems, procurement arrangements, and satellite pharmacy operations.
Regulatory Compliance and Governance
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with requirements issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Ministry of Health, and other applicable regulatory authorities.
Maintain compliance with legislation governing narcotic and psychotropic medicines, Good Pharmacy Practice, occupational health and safety, and the handling of hazardous medicines.
Oversee pharmacy licensing, regulatory inspections, internal and external audits, SOP development, governance systems, and maintenance of required regulatory records.
Oncology Pharmacy Services
Provide leadership for oncology pharmacy operations involving cytotoxic medicines, immunotherapy, targeted treatments, hormonal therapies, and supportive cancer-care medicines.
Establish robust medication verification and safety processes for chemotherapy and other oncology treatments.
Oversee aseptic preparation, cleanroom activities, compounding procedures, and adherence to validated oncology treatment protocols.
Promote safe handling, storage, administration support, and disposal of hazardous and cytotoxic medicines.
Clinical Research and Clinical Trials
Act as the pharmacy lead for clinical research and clinical trial activities.
Establish and maintain research pharmacy infrastructure, procedures, and systems for managing investigational medicinal products.
Ensure appropriate documentation, accountability, storage, dispensing, and tracking of investigational products.
Maintain compliance with Good Clinical Practice, sponsor requirements, ethics committee conditions, and PPB research regulations.
Procurement and Inventory Management
Lead pharmaceutical procurement and supply planning, including demand forecasting, supplier management, commercial negotiations, pricing reviews, inventory monitoring, and stock utilization.
Establish effective systems for cold-chain monitoring, expiry control, controlled-drug management, stock accountability, and pharmaceutical forecasting.
Promote efficient use of medicines and minimize losses arising from expiries, overstocking, shortages, or ineffective inventory practices.
Financial and Commercial Management
Prepare and manage pharmacy budgets, financial forecasts, revenue projections, pricing structures, and expenditure plans.
Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy revenue, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
Support billing and reimbursement processes involving SHA, private insurers, and corporate clients.
Monitor pharmacy financial performance and implement measures to improve profitability and cost control.
Medication Safety and Quality
Lead medication safety programs and pharmacovigilance activities across pharmacy operations.
Coordinate investigations of medication incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Oversee hazardous-drug handling procedures, cytotoxic waste management, emergency preparedness, and pharmacy-related safety programs.
Promote continuous improvement in pharmaceutical care, quality assurance, and patient safety.
People Leadership and Development
Recruit, manage, mentor, and assess pharmacy personnel to ensure a competent and high-performing workforce.
Develop staff competency frameworks, professional development initiatives, and continuing education programs.
Coordinate specialized training in oncology pharmacy, clinical research pharmacy, aseptic compounding, and other relevant areas.
Develop succession plans and support the growth of pharmacy leadership capabilities across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution, where applicable to the candidate's professional pathway.
Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
Possession of a valid Annual Practising Licence.
A Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
Additional certification in Good Clinical Practice, Oncology Pharmacy, Aseptic Compounding, Research Administration, Nutrition, or a related specialty will be advantageous.
At least seven (7) years of professional pharmacy experience.
A minimum of three (3) years in a pharmacy supervisory, management, or leadership position.
Demonstrated experience in oncology pharmacy, clinical research or clinical trials, pharmaceutical procurement and inventory management, regulatory compliance, team leadership, healthcare facility development, and research operations.
