Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan in line with approved schedules and organizational priorities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, and governance frameworks across all SACCO functions.
Assess compliance with the SACCO Societies Act, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS), prudential guidelines, and internal policies.
Examine financial records, transactions, supporting documentation, and authorization procedures to verify accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Identify operational risks, control deficiencies, potential fraud, and process weaknesses, and recommend practical corrective actions.
Review lending operations, investment portfolios, fixed assets, accounting systems, and resource utilization to ensure appropriate safeguards and accountability.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions for management, the Supervisory Committee, and other relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and update the organization's risk register while supporting the implementation of risk management and compliance initiatives.
Conduct special investigations and ad hoc audits as directed by management or governance committees.
Provide administrative and technical support to the Supervisory Committee in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer.
Contribute to the preparation of management reports, committee reports, and strategic planning activities.
Perform any additional responsibilities assigned in support of the internal audit function.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) qualification is required.
Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and/or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) will be an added advantage.
At least two (2) years of relevant auditing experience, preferably within a SACCO or financial institution.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) is desirable.

Marketing Manager
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies, policies, and action plans that support the Society's strategic objectives.
Set departmental targets, coordinate marketing activities, and monitor performance to ensure business goals are achieved.
Drive membership growth, strengthen brand awareness, and increase the Society's market presence.
Analyze the performance of products, services, and market segments, providing recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
Lead the design, enhancement, and review of products and services to address evolving member and market needs.
Conduct market research, customer satisfaction surveys, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to identify business opportunities.
Manage and grow the Society's digital presence through social media platforms and other communication channels.
Plan and oversee branding initiatives, advertising campaigns, public relations activities, and promotional programs.
Coordinate corporate events, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), Special General Meetings (SGMs), member education sessions, training programs, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Represent the Society at stakeholder meetings, networking forums, and other external engagements.
Prepare and manage the marketing budget while ensuring effective utilization of allocated resources.
Identify and implement business development initiatives that generate sustainable growth and additional revenue streams.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with members, business partners, and strategic stakeholders.
Develop business proposals, negotiate partnerships, and pursue opportunities aligned with the Society's long-term objectives.
Expand the membership base through targeted acquisition and relationship management strategies.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Society's products, services, industry developments, and competitive landscape.
Prepare periodic reports highlighting marketing performance, achievements, emerging opportunities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Perform any other duties assigned in support of the marketing and business development function.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or another relevant business discipline from a recognized institution.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, business development, or customer acquisition, preferably within the financial services sector.
Experience in a Deposit-Taking SACCO (DT SACCO), commercial bank, microfinance bank, or other regulated financial institution will be an added advantage.
