Job Description
Follow up on outstanding customer balances through telephone calls, SMS, emails, and physical visits where necessary.
Keep customer contact information accurate and ensure every collection activity is properly recorded.
Monitor returned cheques, failed payments, and outstanding postdated cheques and take appropriate follow-up action.
Engage customers who have defaulted to agree on realistic payment arrangements and monitor compliance with those agreements.
Work alongside the Credit and Collections Supervisor to identify accounts with elevated credit risk and propose suitable recovery measures.
Record payment arrangements, collection activities, and received payments accurately in QuickBooks or the relevant ERP system.
Liaise with the Sales and Customer Service teams to address invoicing or billing issues that may be preventing timely payment.
Complete customer account reconciliations accurately before accounts are closed or escalated for further recovery.
Prepare weekly collection updates covering recovery performance, receivables aging, and overdue accounts.
Assist the Credit and Collection Supervisor with the rollout of improved recovery approaches and collection automation initiatives.
Maintain receivables documentation in line with ETIMS, KRA, and internal audit requirements.
Contribute to the preparation and improvement of customer credit profiles while identifying customers with repeated payment defaults.
Attend monthly receivables review sessions and provide relevant collection findings and recommendations.
Assist with legal debt recovery matters by preparing accurate statements of account and supporting documentation for lawyers or external recovery agencies.
Maintain professional and positive customer relationships while encouraging prompt settlement of outstanding balances.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related discipline.
CPA I or an equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
2–3 years of experience in debt collection or accounts receivable within a busy working environment.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate payment arrangements and professionally manage challenging customer discussions.
Practical experience using QuickBooks, ERP platforms, CRM systems, or similar debt collection software.
Knowledge of ETIMS compliance, account reconciliation, and reporting on overdue receivables.

Job Description
Sales Strategy and Planning
Research the waste management and recycling market to identify potential business opportunities and emerging trends.
Contribute to sales planning and initiatives designed to expand the customer base.
Customer Acquisition and Retention
Consistently work toward achieving monthly and quarterly sales objectives.
Source new prospects, generate qualified leads, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Develop lasting relationships with existing customers while ensuring their needs are addressed and satisfaction is maintained.
Client Consultations and Presentations
Meet with prospective customers to understand their waste management requirements.
Recommend appropriate solutions based on client needs.
Develop and present sales proposals, quotations, and presentations that clearly communicate the value of the available services.

Prepare and submit accurate sales reports and forecasts.
Collaboration and Teamwork

Customer Support and Follow-up

Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
At least 1–2 years of proven sales experience with a strong performance record.
Previous experience selling solutions involving complex products or services is preferred, particularly in areas such as facility management, security, or information technology.
