Tibu Health Jobs in Nairobi: IT Specialist and Marketers/Business Developers
Tibu Health has announced opportunities for individuals interested in information technology, digital communications, sales, marketing and business development. The available positions are based in Nairobi and include one IT Specialist position and three openings for Marketers/Business Developers.
The two opportunities require different skills and offer candidates the chance to contribute to the growth and daily operations of a healthcare environment. The IT Specialist position combines technical support with digital content creation and social media management, while the Marketers/Business Developers roles focus on building awareness of the clinic, generating new clients and developing referral relationships.
Candidates interested in either opportunity should review the requirements carefully and prepare the requested application documents before applying.
IT Specialist – 1 Position
Tibu Health is seeking an IT Specialist to support the clinic's technology environment and digital communication activities. The position is based in Nairobi and is offered on a full-time basis.
Unlike an IT role that focuses only on computers and technical troubleshooting, this position covers two connected areas: technology support and digital content management. The successful candidate will help keep the clinic's technology systems functioning properly while also creating content that supports clinic communication, promotion and patient education.
A Diploma, associate degree or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, digital media or a related field is required.
Supporting the Clinic's Technology
The IT Specialist will provide everyday technical assistance to clinicians and administrative employees. This means helping staff resolve technology problems that could interfere with their work and ensuring that essential equipment remains available and functional.
The position involves setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting computers, printers, scanners, phones and other technology devices used within the clinic.
The successful candidate will also support several digital systems used in healthcare and business operations. These include electronic health record or electronic medical record systems, practice-management platforms, scheduling systems, billing systems and telehealth solutions.
Managing user accounts and access permissions will also form part of the position. The IT Specialist will assist with software updates, backups and equipment inventory while helping maintain accurate records of the clinic's technology resources.
Networks, Internet and Security
Reliable connectivity is important in a clinic environment, particularly when employees depend on digital systems for patient and administrative activities.
The IT Specialist will help maintain wired and wireless networks, internet access and clinic communication systems. Basic network administration knowledge will therefore be useful.
Candidates with experience working with Wi-Fi, routers, switches and firewalls will have relevant skills for this part of the job.
Protecting information is another important responsibility. The IT Specialist will assist with security controls, provide guidance to staff and participate in incident response when necessary.
The position also requires an understanding of privacy, confidentiality and data-security practices. Where applicable, the employee will support compliance with healthcare privacy requirements such as HIPAA.
Working With Vendors and Staff
Not every technical issue will necessarily be solved internally. The IT Specialist may need to coordinate with software providers, internet service providers and external IT service companies.
Good communication is therefore important. The person in this role should be able to explain technical problems clearly, communicate with service providers and keep clinic staff informed when technology issues arise.
Documentation is another key responsibility. Technical problems, solutions, procedures and system changes should be properly recorded. This can help the clinic maintain a clear history of its technology environment and make it easier to resolve recurring issues.
The IT Specialist will also assist with onboarding and staff training, helping employees become familiar with the technology systems they need to use.
Digital Content and Social Media
The role extends beyond technical support into digital communication.
The successful candidate will create and update clinic graphics, promotional materials and patient-education resources using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of these programs is therefore important.
Video editing is also included in the position. Candidates should be able to use Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar tools to produce videos for clinic communications, education and marketing.
The employee will help maintain consistent branding across digital and printed materials. Content must be accurate, accessible and approved by the appropriate clinic staff before it is published.
Social media management will include planning, creating, scheduling and publishing content across the clinic's platforms. The successful candidate will maintain a content calendar connected to clinic services, events and campaigns.
Comments and messages will also need to be monitored. Clinical questions and sensitive matters should be referred to the appropriate clinic staff rather than being handled without authorization.
Privacy and Content Responsibility
Because the position operates within a healthcare environment, responsible handling of information is especially important.
The IT Specialist must follow clinic privacy policies and ensure that identifiable patient information is not shared without proper authorization.
The employee will also track social media engagement and prepare basic performance reports. These reports can help the clinic understand how its digital communication efforts are performing.
Candidates will be expected to identify possible improvements to the clinic's online presence and patient communications while ensuring that all activities remain within the clinic's policies.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have a Diploma, associate degree or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, digital media or a related field.
Experience providing technical support is required, with healthcare or small-business experience being an advantage.
Candidates should have familiarity with Windows and/or macOS, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, networking and endpoint security.
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro is also expected. Experience managing social media accounts and producing digital content will be relevant.
Experience with EHR/EMR or practice-management systems is an advantage, as is knowledge of healthcare privacy and data-security practices.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational and customer-service abilities are also important.
Documents Required
Applicants for the IT Specialist position should prepare:
Updated CV or résumé
Cover letter or brief statement of interest
Copy of National ID and passport photo
Good Conduct and school certificates
Portfolio
KRA PIN certificate
The working environment is primarily within the clinic, with occasional movement between treatment rooms and administrative areas. Some flexibility may be required when urgent technology problems need to be addressed or when scheduled digital campaigns require support.
Success in the role will be measured through timely handling of IT requests, reliable availability of essential systems, accurate documentation and equipment records, consistent digital content, responsible handling of patient information, staff feedback and audience engagement.
Marketers/Business Developers – 3 Positions
Tibu Health is also looking for three motivated individuals to join its marketing and business development efforts.
The Marketers/Business Developers will focus on expanding the physiotherapy clinic's client base and strengthening its presence within the community. The work involves identifying potential clients, creating awareness of clinic services and developing relationships that can lead to referrals.
This is a full-time opportunity in Nairobi and falls under the Sales and Business Development field.
Building the Clinic's Client Network
The main focus of the position is connecting the clinic with people and organizations that may benefit from its services.
Successful candidates will identify prospective clients within the community and direct appropriate prospects to the clinic. They will also help create awareness of the clinic among local businesses, employers, gyms, sports clubs and community organizations.
Outreach activities will form part of the work. This may include arranging and conducting approved visits, presentations and wellness-awareness activities.
The role is therefore suited to people who are comfortable meeting new people, communicating information and developing professional relationships.
Developing Referral Relationships
Business development will also involve building connections with potential referral partners.
These may include healthcare providers and fitness professionals. Candidates should be capable of establishing professional relationships and following up consistently with people and organizations they have contacted.
Generating qualified inquiries and referrals is an important part of the position. Candidates will need to track their results using the clinic's reporting process.
Coordination with clinic employees will also be necessary to ensure that potential clients receive timely follow-up after they have been identified or referred.
Professional Representation
Marketers and Business Developers will represent Tibu Health when interacting with members of the public, businesses and potential partners.
Professional conduct is therefore expected. Employees must follow the clinic's marketing, privacy and communication policies when carrying out their duties.
The position also has clear limits around the information that can be communicated to potential clients. Representatives should not make unauthorized claims concerning treatment results, prices or insurance coverage.
Commission-Based Compensation
The compensation structure for these positions is commission only.
There is no retainer, base salary or guaranteed payment. Commission rates, qualifying outcomes, lead attribution and payment timing will be agreed in writing before work begins.
Payment will depend on results that satisfy the criteria contained in the written agreement.
Candidates considering the opportunity should therefore understand the commission-based nature of the position before applying.
Requirements for Marketers and Business Developers
Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development or community outreach is an advantage.
Strong communication, networking and follow-up skills are important because much of the role involves establishing connections and maintaining relationships.
Candidates should be self-motivated and organized and should be capable of working toward agreed targets.
Knowledge of local businesses and communities is also an advantage because the role involves building awareness and identifying potential clients and partners within the community.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Kenya.
Successful applicants should submit an updated CV or résumé, a copy of their National ID and passport photo, KRA PIN, Good Conduct and school certificates, as well as relevant certificates or proof of experience where applicable.
Choosing the Right Opportunity
The two Tibu Health opportunities are aimed at different professional backgrounds.
The IT Specialist position is suitable for someone with technical support skills who can also handle digital content, social media and basic creative production. It requires knowledge of technology systems, networking, security, digital communication and healthcare data practices.
The Marketers/Business Developers positions are more focused on communication, networking, outreach, client acquisition and referral development. They may suit individuals who enjoy interacting with businesses, community organizations and potential clients.
Candidates should ensure that their applications match the specific position they are interested in and include all the documents requested by Tibu Health.
These Nairobi opportunities provide different ways for qualified candidates to contribute to a healthcare organization, whether through maintaining the technology and digital communication environment or through helping expand the clinic's community reach and client network.
