Position Summary
The Medical Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical care and treatment of outpatient patients while providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior medical personnel. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans, and conducting follow-up reviews to monitor progress and outcomes.
The incumbent will maintain regular communication with the attending or primary consultants and surgeons regarding any significant changes in a patient's condition, ensuring timely clinical decisions and appropriate management interventions. Additionally, the Medical Officer will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by contributing to clinical teaching, professional development, and the continuous improvement of healthcare services.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
Valid registration and licensure as a Medical Officer with the Medical Council of Kenya.
Additional training, certification, or practical experience in leadership and management will be considered an added advantage.
