Qualifications and Requirements

• A PhD in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university. A Master’s degree may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

• At least three years of university-level teaching experience at Lecturer level, or six years of relevant research or industry experience.

• A minimum of 24 publication points, including at least 12 points earned from refereed academic journals.

• Demonstrated experience supervising at least two Master’s students through successful completion, or one PhD student.

• Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) and hold a valid practicing licence.

• Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
