COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INTERN – 1 POSITION
Key Qualifications
The Community Development Intern position is suitable for a graduate with an academic background in community development, social work, development studies, sociology, or a closely related field.
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology, or another related discipline.
The candidate should demonstrate a genuine interest in and commitment to community engagement, child protection, gender equality, and social justice.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are required, together with the capacity to prepare clear and effective reports.
The successful candidate should be willing to travel and work directly within communities across Nakuru County.
The candidate should be capable of working independently while also contributing effectively as part of multidisciplinary teams.
What the Intern Will Gain
The internship will provide an opportunity to gain practical exposure within a dynamic and growing non-profit organisation.
The successful intern will gain hands-on experience in the organisation’s activities and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals involved in programme implementation, advocacy, communications, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and organisational development.
The internship will also provide exposure to community outreach activities, research initiatives, and campaigns.
Through these activities, the intern will have an opportunity to develop practical experience while working within a professional environment focused on community-related programmes and activities.
The intern will work with experienced professionals and gain exposure to different areas of organisational and programme work. The experience will include participation in programme implementation, advocacy and communications activities, monitoring, evaluation and learning processes, as well as organisational development initiatives.
The position will also involve opportunities to participate in community outreach, research, and campaigns.
STATISTICS, MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING (MEL) INTERN – 1 POSITION
Key Qualifications
The Statistics, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Intern position is intended for a graduate with a strong quantitative and analytical academic background and an interest in programme monitoring, research, data management, and impact measurement.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Applicants should have experience or knowledge of statistical software and analytical packages such as SPSS, STATA, R, or similar tools.
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities are required.
The candidate should possess good data management skills and be comfortable working with information that requires organisation and analysis.
An interest in programme monitoring, research, data visualisation, and impact measurement is required.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and carrying out analytical tasks.
Areas of Interest

The Communications and Media Intern position is designed for a graduate with an academic background in communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, marketing, or a related discipline.
The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Marketing, or another related field.
Strong writing and editing skills are required.
The candidate should have storytelling abilities and an understanding of how to communicate information effectively to different audiences.
Photography and videography skills are required, together with knowledge of social media management.
Knowledge of graphic design applications such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate should have a creative mindset and be able to develop engaging multimedia content.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
Professional Development
The Communications and Media internship will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop professional competencies within a practical working environment.
The role will provide exposure to communications and media-related activities while allowing the intern to apply skills in writing, editing, storytelling, photography, videography, social media, and multimedia content development.
Candidates with knowledge of graphic design applications such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite will have an added advantage when undertaking communications and media-related assignments.

INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
