Position Overview
The Internal Auditor will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control systems. The role is responsible for conducting risk-based audits, promoting regulatory compliance, identifying operational risks, and supporting the organization's commitment to accountability and sound financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive annual internal audit plan based on organizational risk priorities.
Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess the accuracy of records and adherence to applicable laws, donor requirements, organizational policies, and established procedures.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems, identify control weaknesses, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen operational efficiency.
Carry out enterprise risk assessments and contribute to the development of effective risk mitigation measures.
Prepare clear, objective, and evidence-based audit reports for the Board of Directors and senior management, highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.
Work closely with departmental teams to monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations and corrective actions.
Promote a culture of accountability by facilitating staff training on internal controls, fraud prevention, ethical conduct, and compliance requirements.
Perform any additional audit-related assignments as directed by management or the Board.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Fully qualified CPA (K) or ACCA together with Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification in good standing.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional internal audit experience, preferably within organizations managing donor-funded programs or operating under multiple regulatory frameworks.
Practical experience using accounting systems, audit management software, and other audit technology tools.
Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills with the ability to present technical audit findings to diverse audiences.

Program Coordinator
Position Overview
The Program Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities while ensuring effective utilization of resources, compliance with donor requirements, and strong collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise all program activities at the assigned project location in collaboration with the Regional Manager.
Provide leadership and oversight to Project Technical Officers, including government personnel attached to the project.
Lead project planning processes, develop implementation work plans, and prepare activity-based budgets aligned with program objectives.
Monitor project implementation, resolve operational challenges, and recommend innovative approaches to improve program performance.
Prepare accurate and timely technical and narrative reports for donors, government agencies, and organizational leadership.
Coordinate the preparation of annual program budgets together with monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Authorize routine project expenditures in accordance with approved financial procedures while ensuring accountability for donor resources.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, contractual obligations, and reporting timelines.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with development partners, government agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector stakeholders.
Support partnership development, proposal writing, fundraising initiatives, and resource mobilization efforts for the Coast Branch.
Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Regional Manager or Programs Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Disability Studies, or another related field.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing development programs within a non-governmental organization.
Experience in rehabilitation services, disability inclusion, community development, or related sectors is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, financial management, and donor compliance.
Demonstrated experience in grant management and proposal development.
Proven leadership skills with experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.

Project Accountant
Position Overview
The Project Accountant will oversee project financial management by maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with donor and statutory requirements, supporting budgeting processes, managing assets and inventory, and strengthening financial accountability across project operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Maintain complete and accurate accounting records using the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Prepare journal entries, update the general ledger, and produce monthly trial balances and management accounts within established reporting timelines.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare weekly cash flow reports.
Coordinate the preparation of annual project budgets and provide financial monitoring support to departmental managers.
Ensure accurate payroll processing and timely remittance of statutory deductions in compliance with applicable regulations.
Manage donor-funded resources and prepare financial reports in accordance with donor guidelines and reporting requirements.
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation to facilitate annual external audits.
Supervision and Asset Management
Supervise Accounts Assistants, Cashiers, and Stores personnel to ensure effective financial operations.
Conduct periodic cash counts and review inventory records to verify accountability.
Oversee banking of project collections and ensure all receipts are deposited promptly.
Verify goods received and approve Goods Received Notes (GRNs) in accordance with procurement procedures.
Coordinate quarterly stock counts, investigate inventory variances, and recommend corrective measures.
Maintain an accurate Fixed Asset Register, including asset tagging, insurance, and annual physical verification.
Safeguard financial information by implementing routine data backup procedures and secure off-site storage.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA (K) qualification or an equivalent professional accounting certification.
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within donor-funded projects, NGOs, healthcare organizations, or similar environments.
Demonstrated experience managing donor compliance and financial reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of inventory control, stores management, stock reconciliation, and variance analysis.
Proven supervisory experience with finance and stores personnel.
High ethical standards, excellent analytical skills, and a consistent ability to deliver quality work within strict deadlines.
