Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Synergy Clinics' business growth strategy. The role will focus on identifying new revenue opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, strengthening existing relationships and converting market opportunities into measurable business results.
The position requires strong commercial knowledge, an understanding of the healthcare sector, relationship management abilities and data-driven decision-making skills. The successful candidate will contribute to sustainable growth while maintaining the organisation's reputation and values.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the annual business development strategy.
Carry out market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Identify new markets, services, products and revenue opportunities.
Prepare business cases for new services, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with corporates, insurers, employers, government agencies, development partners and other strategic stakeholders.
Lead negotiations involving strategic partnerships, contracts and commercial agreements.
Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
Develop initiatives aimed at increasing patient volumes, corporate business and insurance-related revenue.
Work with relevant teams to strengthen market positioning and brand visibility.
Identify opportunities for community outreach, corporate wellness programmes and strategic healthcare initiatives.
Analyse business development trends and provide actionable recommendations to management.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators for business development activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Management, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional qualification is an added advantage.
At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably with 3 or more years in a managerial or senior business development position.
Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales or commercial growth.
Knowledge of the Kenyan healthcare market and payer ecosystem is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable business growth.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, public relations and communication skills.
Human Resource Manager

Role Overview
The Human Resource Manager will lead the development and implementation of people strategies aimed at attracting, developing, engaging and retaining a high-performing workforce.
The role will oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, payroll coordination, learning and development, HR compliance and organisational culture. The successful candidate will ensure HR practices support the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the annual HR strategy and work plan.
Lead workforce planning, staffing and recruitment activities.
Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection procedures.
Manage performance management processes, including objective setting, reviews and performance improvement plans.
Handle disciplinary and grievance processes in line with employment law and company policies.
Develop HR dashboards covering headcount, turnover, attendance, payroll costs and other key performance indicators.
Conduct training needs assessments and coordinate learning and development programmes.
Develop and review HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable Kenyan employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations.
Professional qualification or membership with IHRM is an advantage.
Master's degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 2 or more years in a managerial or senior HR role.
Experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment legislation and HR best practices.

Billing & Claims Manager

Role Overview
The Billing & Claims Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across the hospital's billing and claims management processes. The role will focus on ensuring accurate billing, timely claims submission, effective reconciliation, revenue assurance and improved claims conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hospital billing operations covering outpatient, inpatient, theatre, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and other services.
Strengthen billing accuracy and identify potential revenue leakages.
Oversee claims preparation, validation, submission and follow-up with HMOs, corporate clients and other payers.
Monitor claims ageing, rejected claims and queried claims while driving corrective action.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, contracts and healthcare financing regulations.
Reconcile services provided, patient bills, submitted claims and approved claims.
Support payer audits and claims verification exercises.
Review rebates, write-offs and credit adjustments.
Lead, coach and develop the billing and claims team through clear KPIs, SOPs and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Health Records, Health Management or a related field.
Relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 or more years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven experience in healthcare billing and claims management.
Strong understanding of hospital revenue-cycle management.
Experience with EMR/HMIS, hospital information and billing systems.
Experience managing payer relationships and claims audits is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication and public relations skills.
