Responsibilities
Receive payments and provide receipts or invoices to internal and external customers while ensuring all revenue is properly accounted for.
Confirm that each receipt or invoice issued is supported by a valid prescription.
Verify patient identities using photo identification.
Attach required prescription copies to the appropriate invoices.
Maintain sufficient change to facilitate cash transactions.
Securely store cash, cheques, and vouchers in accordance with departmental procedures.
Deposit collected funds promptly and within the required timelines.
Process smart cards in line with established policies and procedures.
Confirm applicable prescription exemptions for corporate clients and insurance schemes before processing transactions.
File and securely maintain prescriptions in the correct sequence.
Keep finance-related records properly filed and updated.
Activate corporate patient accounts and ensure required claim forms are properly completed and signed where applicable.
Use stationery responsibly and minimize unnecessary wastage.
Immediately begin recording transactions manually whenever the computer system becomes unavailable.
Respond to customer enquiries professionally and promptly.
Document all verbal complaints received.
Undertake other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager.
Requirements
KATC II, Diploma in Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
KCSE grade C+ or higher.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
At least 2 years of experience working in a busy cash office.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Job Purpose
The Counsellor will provide psychological support and therapeutic interventions to clients dealing with issues within counselling and clinical psychology. The role contributes to the institution’s commitment to delivering compassionate, ethical, and high-quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioural concerns affecting clients.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
Assist clients in identifying personal, social, educational, and career goals and developing practical plans to achieve them.
Monitor client progress through regular follow-up and counselling sessions.
Offer psychological support to clients dealing with trauma, serious illness, end-of-life issues, and other life challenges.
Provide counselling for grief and loss, trauma, acute and chronic illnesses, and mental health concerns.
Support the department’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Provide staff counselling and psychological support to help manage stress, improve relationships, resolve conflicts, and enhance workplace productivity.
Participate in staff training and development programmes.
Conduct departmental training sessions that support institutional and departmental objectives.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Must be registered with Kenya’s Ministry of Health and hold a valid practice licence.
Master’s degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology.
Formal theoretical training in counselling, such as an undergraduate qualification in Counselling.
Diploma or higher qualification in counselling or nursing within a medical context, such as medical health counselling.
Additional training in complementary areas such as trauma, chronic illness, death, and dying is an advantage.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Previous experience working within a medical environment.
Relevant professional experience appropriate to the workload of the position.
Understanding of human emotional, social, and psychological challenges.
Ability to remain non-partisan and respectful of religious, cultural, and traditional practices.
Demonstrates high ethical and moral standards and maintains a professional approach.

Job Summary
The Digital Scholarship Assistant will support the Digital Scholarship Centre by delivering digital media services and creating a variety of multimedia resources for faculty, students, and staff. The position will contribute to the university’s teaching, learning, and research activities through effective use of digital technologies.
Responsibilities
Provide photography and videography services for library events and publications.
Create graphic designs for university publications, newsletters, and promotional content.
Upload publication metadata and compile staff publication information for the institutional repository.
Assist faculty and students with blended learning and other educational technologies.
Create LibGuides and online courses in collaboration with faculty members and subject specialists.
Transform course material into engaging digital learning resources, including videos, readings, quizzes, and interactive activities.
Provide ICT support to users and assist with administrative responsibilities within the Library and Digital Scholarship Centre.
Maintain and service Digital Scholarship Centre equipment to ensure it remains updated, functional, and ready for use.
Support library circulation and customer-service activities, including issuing and receiving resources such as laptops and tablets.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Multimedia Technology, or a related discipline.
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within an academic or library environment.
Demonstrated ability in photography, videography, and the use of graphic design software.
Basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.
Experience creating LibGuides or comparable research and learning guides is an added advantage.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
Proficiency in both macOS and Windows operating systems.
