Key Responsibilities
Implement resource mobilization approaches that support KEMRI’s strategic objectives and research priorities.
Research and identify funding prospects from government institutions, bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, development organizations, private-sector entities, and other potential sources.
Regularly assess donor priorities, funding trends, and emerging opportunities to strengthen institutional fundraising efforts.
Coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality concept notes, expressions of interest, proposals, and other funding applications in partnership with Principal Investigators and relevant departments.
Maintain a detailed database covering funding opportunities, donors, partners, submitted applications, and their respective outcomes and progress.
Assist Principal Investigators and research teams in developing competitive funding proposals, including budgets, resource mobilization approaches, and donor-specific requirements.
Build and maintain productive relationships with donors, development partners, private organizations, and other potential funding stakeholders.
Track resource mobilization performance, including applications submitted, success rates, funds generated, and donor engagement, and prepare regular reports.
Support donor meetings, partnership engagements, networking events, and other fundraising activities.
Train and guide staff on resource mobilization, proposal preparation, donor requirements, and partnership development.
Work with relevant departments to ensure donor conditions and institutional policies are observed throughout the funding lifecycle.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences, or another relevant field from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, grants management, business development, partnerships, or a related area.
Proven record of developing successful funding proposals and/or securing resources from local, international, and industry-based funding partners.
Proficiency in computer applications and relevant digital tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong networking and partnership-building abilities.
Good understanding of donor funding processes and requirements.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue funding opportunities.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer
Job Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
Prepare technical documentation for Dynamics 365 Business Central applications and develop hardware specifications as required.
Analyze business requirements, design solutions, develop code, conduct testing, and implement Dynamics 365 Business Central applications and security solutions.
Lead the design and deployment of a comprehensive grants management system based on industry best practices and advanced ERP capabilities.
Carry out business process reengineering, integrate the ERP environment with financial systems, and customize solutions according to institutional requirements.
Monitor system performance and introduce enhancements to improve efficiency and functionality.
Translate organizational requirements into practical and effective technical solutions.
Maintain an accurate and current register of equipment maintenance activities.
Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Business Central components and integrations with other systems.
Administer and keep the Institute’s Dynamics 365 Business Central environment updated.
Perform routine backups of Business Central data and applications.
Provide technical support and mentorship to staff using Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Offer technical guidance on the development, administration, and effective use of the platform.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated experience developing solutions for Dynamics 365 Business Central, including programming in AL and working with extensions.
Professional certification such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate, MCSE, MCSA, MCSD, N+, A+, or an equivalent recognized certification.
Completion of a supervisory training course of at least two weeks from a recognized institution.
Grants Management Officer

Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential funding opportunities from donors, foundations, development partners, and other relevant funding institutions.
Maintain records of available funding opportunities and monitor them through the various stages of the application process.
Assist researchers and relevant departments in preparing, reviewing, and submitting concept notes, expressions of interest, grant applications, and funding proposals.
Support communication and relationship management with prospective and existing donors, development partners, research institutions, and strategic partners.
Keep databases and records updated, including donor information, funding opportunities, submitted proposals, funding decisions, donor correspondence, and partnership activities.
Assist with compiling institutional information, preparing proposal budgets, and confirming that supporting documentation is complete and meets donor and institutional requirements.
Monitor application deadlines, submissions, donor feedback, pending decisions, and requests for additional information, ensuring timely follow-up.
Contribute to periodic reports covering resource mobilization activities, funding opportunities, applications submitted, and funds secured.
Assist in coordinating donor meetings, fundraising engagements, and related activities.
Provide administrative and logistical assistance to the resource mobilization function, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence and reports, and maintaining appropriate records.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
