Finance Manager – Nawiri SACCO

Functional Purpose

The Finance Manager will be responsible for mobilising funds, making sound investment decisions, and ensuring that financial resources are used effectively to support Nawiri SACCO’s operations and growth.

Skills and Experience

• More than five years of experience in a demanding financial management position.

• Previous experience in the financial services and investment industry.

• Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating effective management and leadership skills.

• Proven ability to support fundraising initiatives, guide investment decisions, and contribute to organisational performance.

Professional and Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline from a recognised university.

• Must be a qualified Accountant and a member of ICPAK.

• A Diploma in Banking or Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.

• Proficiency in digital workplace tools.

Branch Managers – Nawiri SACCO

Functional Purpose

The Branch Manager will be responsible for translating Nawiri SACCO’s strategic goals, values, and aspirations into effective branch operations and results.

Skills and Experience

• More than five years of experience managing a branch.

• Experience in the financial services and investment sector.

• Strong customer relationship management capabilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively and manage teams effectively.

• Capacity to drive fundraising activities, support investment decisions, and deliver organisational results.

Professional and Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognised university.

• Minimum KCSE grade of C+.

• Demonstrated understanding of general management, financial matters, or entrepreneurship.

• A Diploma in Banking or Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.

• Proficiency in digital working tools.

Internal Audit Officers – Nawiri SACCO

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine internal audits, investigations, and special audit assignments.

• Assist with the review and development of annual audit programmes and procedures.

• Carry out follow-up audits to establish whether audit recommendations have been implemented.

• Support the preparation of audit reports and monitor the implementation of recommendations.

• Participate in surprise audits and verify payments to confirm their validity and accuracy.

• Assist the Internal Auditor in developing and implementing annual audit plans.

• Review overdrawn accounts and notify the relevant authorities where corrective action is required.

• Examine accounts maintained by the Treasury Officer and Assistant Treasury Officer, including checking balances and requesting reconciliations where necessary.

• Review and verify cash documentation submitted by all branches.

• Verify stock relating to purchases received at the main store.

• Perform other audit-related duties assigned by the Internal Auditor from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have fully completed CPK K.

• A Diploma in Banking or Accounts will be an added advantage.

• Minimum KCSE grade of C+.

• Computer literacy is required.

• Demonstrated analytical and communication abilities.

• Understanding of SACCO policies and procedures.

Insurance Officer – Nawiri SACCO

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the client base while developing strategic partnerships that contribute to revenue growth.

• Identify and approach prospective customers through email, telephone calls, and presentations to groups.

• Provide appropriate insurance advice and ongoing support to clients.

• Market and sell suitable insurance policies to customers.

• Follow up on claims processing to help ensure claims are settled within the required timelines.

• Coordinate and administer insurance services effectively within the agency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in a business-related course.

• Minimum KCSE grade of C+.

• A Certificate of Proficiency (C.O.P) will be an added advantage.

• Must be aged 25 years or above.

• Good knowledge of insurance products and services.

• Strong understanding of marketing matters combined with high ethical standards.

• Good management skills and the ability to grow, support, and develop the subsidiary.

• Excellent organisational, analytical, negotiation, and time-management skills.

• Ability to meet reporting requirements for the board, investors, and statutory authorities.
