About the Role

Our client is looking for certified and safety-focused Fire Marshals to provide fire prevention and emergency response support during shifts at a fertilizer terminal. The role involves monitoring fire safety equipment and emergency routes, coordinating evacuations and providing initial emergency response when required. The Fire Marshal will also assist the HESQ Officer in promoting a strong zero-incident safety culture across warehouse, blending and loading activities.

At least two certified Fire Marshals must be available on site during every shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections for potential fire hazards within warehouse, blending and yard areas and immediately report identified risks to the HESQ Officer.

• Inspect fire extinguishers, hose reels, alarm points and emergency lighting to ensure they are accessible, serviceable, undamaged and within their validity periods, recording observations in the fire safety register.

• Ensure fire exits, evacuation paths and assembly areas remain unobstructed and assist with enforcing hot-work permit requirements and no-smoking regulations.

• Respond immediately to fire alarms and incidents by activating the alarm, using firefighting equipment where it is safe and appropriate, and initiating evacuation procedures.

• Take charge of personnel during drills and actual emergencies, ensuring workers are accounted for using shift attendance records.

• Coordinate with fire and rescue teams when they arrive and assist with emergency operations until responsibility for the scene is formally transferred.

• Assist with investigations and root-cause analysis following fire-related incidents and report them to the HESQ Officer within the required notification period.

• Conduct toolbox sessions and refresher fire-safety awareness training for warehouse employees and contribute to fire-safety briefings during new staff induction.

• Keep fire extinguisher inspection records, fire drill registers and training attendance documentation accurate and available to the Client’s HESQ team when required.

• Comply fully with the Client’s Golden Rules, drug and alcohol policy and PPE requirements.

• Undertake other warehouse safety responsibilities assigned by the HESQ Officer or contractor management.

Qualifications & Experience

• KCSE certificate or an equivalent qualification.

• 1–2 years of experience in fire warden duties, security, HSE support, warehouse safety or industrial safety.

• Experience in port operations, terminals or bulk-commodity handling will be an added advantage.

• Physically fit and prepared to work rotating shifts, including 11–12-hour shifts during peak periods.

• Strong spoken and written English and Kiswahili, with the ability to communicate instructions calmly during emergencies.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and excellent attention to detail.

Mandatory Certifications

• Valid Fire Marshal or Fire Warden certification from a recognized training institution is mandatory.

• Valid First Aid certification. At least two certified first aiders/fire marshals must be available per shift, and one employee may hold both certifications.

The company is seeking a Presales Executive – Francophone Africa to provide bilingual commercial and presales support across French-speaking African markets. The role will involve identifying tender opportunities, preparing proposals and bid documents in English and French, demonstrating technology solutions to prospective customers and coordinating Proof-of-Concept engagements in markets such as the DRC, Senegal, Ivory Coast and other Francophone territories.

Fluency in French is essential, but the position also requires strong commercial awareness, sales ability and confidence in dealing directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and monitor tender opportunities through Francophone African procurement portals, government platforms, banking and healthcare institutions and donor-funded procurement channels.

• Manage the preparation and submission of RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, EOIs and other tender documents in both English and French while ensuring compliance with OHADA frameworks and applicable local procurement requirements.

• Develop bilingual technical and commercial proposals containing pricing estimates, solution details, scope of work and company capability information tailored to individual market requirements.

• Demonstrate the company’s complete solution portfolio, including QMS, VQMS, Self-Service Kiosks, Digital Signage, Appointment Booking, CX CRM and CX Portal, to prospective banking, healthcare and enterprise customers.

• Coordinate Proof-of-Concept projects from initial scoping through implementation, including bilingual documentation, collection of client feedback and commercial follow-up.

• Participate in client discovery sessions and needs assessments to determine and recommend suitable solutions for Francophone prospects.

• Prepare accurate bilingual quotations together with country sales representatives and ensure they comply with approved pricing and commercial guidelines.

• Maintain a comprehensive tender calendar and compliance matrix to prevent missed deadlines across multiple markets and submissions.

• Keep Zoho CRM records updated with accurate opportunity stages, proposal progress and engagement activities for Francophone accounts.

• Prepare regular English-language reports covering tender activity, demonstration opportunities, POC progress and win/loss performance for management.

Skills & Competencies

Experience & Technical Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, Commerce or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in presales, bids or commercial coordination, preferably within ICT, technology or enterprise solutions.

• French proficiency at C1 level or above, both written and spoken, as the role requires daily proposal writing, product demonstrations and client communication in French.

• Strong English communication skills for internal reporting, management updates and collaboration with other teams.

• Proven knowledge of bid and tender management, including proposal development and complete submission processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for pricing and tracking, Word for proposal preparation and PowerPoint for presentations and demonstrations.

• Experience using CRM platforms for pipeline and activity management; Zoho CRM experience is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Francophone African procurement systems, including OHADA frameworks, donor-funded procurement such as World Bank or UNDP processes, or government tendering in countries such as DRC, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

• Sales or account management experience is an advantage.

• Experience delivering technology product demonstrations or supporting POC engagements is an added advantage.

• Professional or personal experience working in DRC, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon or another Francophone African market will be beneficial.
