About the Role
CIC Insurance is seeking a forward-thinking Actuarial Manager to provide actuarial support to Group subsidiaries and functions such as Finance and Risk. The position will deliver actuarial analysis to help the Group understand its financial liabilities, risks, and changing market conditions. The role will also focus on improving actuarial efficiency, supporting IFRS 17 compliance, and promoting accurate and consistent actuarial reporting across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
IFRS 17 Systems and Reporting
Lead efforts to automate and streamline IFRS 17 actuarial reporting processes across Life and General Insurance entities.
Work with Finance and IT teams to improve the flow and integration of data between actuarial and accounting systems.
Maintain and enhance actuarial system settings, assumptions, and methodologies in line with IFRS 17 requirements.
Review actuarial outputs to confirm their accuracy, completeness, and readiness for audit.
Drive ongoing enhancements and coordinate system upgrades where required.
Actuarial Modelling and Systems Development
Develop, maintain, and document actuarial models supporting reserving, pricing, and financial projections.
Lead initiatives aimed at automating actuarial processes and improving data and reporting efficiency.
Integrate actuarial models with enterprise systems, reporting platforms, and dashboards.
Establish appropriate governance, version control, testing, and quality assurance practices for actuarial models and systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with subsidiary actuarial teams to promote consistency in methodologies, assumptions, and model configurations.
Collaborate with Group Finance, Risk, and IT teams to incorporate actuarial systems into wider business processes.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training on actuarial systems, model governance, and best practices.
Participate in Group Actuarial governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Governance, Risk and Compliance
Ensure actuarial models and reports comply with Group policies, professional standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain detailed documentation covering actuarial methodologies, assumptions, and model configurations.
Support internal and external model validation exercises and implement recommendations arising from validation reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another relevant quantitative discipline.
At least 6 passed actuarial papers under IFoA, SOA, ASSA, or an equivalent professional body.
Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience within Life or General Insurance.
Demonstrated experience with IFRS 17 implementation, actuarial modelling, and systemization.
Working knowledge of actuarial platforms such as Prophet, MoSes, AXIS, or equivalent systems.
Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar data tools.
Strong understanding of insurance financial reporting and actuarial reserving methodologies.

Actuarial Analyst – Systems and Reporting
About the Role
CIC Insurance is looking for a technically capable and proactive Actuarial Analyst to join its Group Actuarial team. The position will support the Actuarial Manager – Systems and Reporting in improving, automating, and systemizing actuarial reporting processes across Life and General Insurance entities.
The role is suited to an actuarial professional interested in working with data, modelling, technology, and financial reporting while contributing to IFRS 17 transformation initiatives at Group level.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with automation and systemization of IFRS 17 actuarial reporting processes across Life and General Insurance businesses.
Prepare, validate, and reconcile data required for actuarial modelling and reporting.
Assist with maintaining actuarial model assumptions, configurations, and related documentation.
Support the development, testing, and improvement of models used for valuation, reserving, and financial projections.
Help integrate actuarial models with Group reporting systems and data platforms.
Participate in testing and documentation activities related to system enhancements and upgrades.
Work with Finance, IT, and subsidiary actuarial teams to maintain accurate, efficient, and consistent actuarial outputs.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Progress toward professional actuarial qualification through IFoA, SOA, ASSA, or an equivalent body, with at least 3 passed papers.
At least 2 years of actuarial experience.
Working understanding of IFRS 17 principles and actuarial software such as Prophet, MoSes, AXIS, or equivalent.
Strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power BI will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

About the Role
CIC Insurance is seeking an enthusiastic Actuarial Assistant to support financial analysis relating to actuarial liability valuations, product pricing, existing product performance, financial projections, and industry research.
This entry-level position provides an opportunity for an actuarial graduate to develop practical experience in actuarial modelling, systems, data analysis, and reporting while working with the Group Actuarial team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing and checking data used in actuarial models and reports.
Support the execution and testing of actuarial models under the direction of the Actuarial Analyst and Manager.
Help maintain records covering actuarial assumptions, methodologies, and model configurations.
Participate in model automation, process testing, and initiatives aimed at improving actuarial processes.
Assist with routine actuarial reporting activities, including reconciliations and data validation.
Provide general analytical and technical assistance to the Group Actuarial team.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
0–2 years of actuarial experience, including relevant internship or graduate trainee experience.
Progress toward IFoA, SOA, ASSA, or equivalent actuarial examinations will be an advantage.
Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Power BI is desirable.
