Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will provide leadership and support in human resource management at the Polytechnic. The role involves recruitment, performance management, HR planning and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Handle human resource matters in accordance with established policies, rules and regulations.
Support human resource planning and succession management.
Implement HR policies and guidelines while ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, supervisory reports and performance records.
Collect and compile departmental training needs to support training programme planning.
Monitor the staff working environment and ensure that health and safety requirements are observed.
Coordinate the development of personnel budgets and monitor HR-related costs.
Support performance management and employee evaluation processes.
Maintain the Human Resource Information System and protect the confidentiality of employee information.
Manage staff establishment and support the continuous improvement of HR policies and practices.
Requirements
At least 3 years' experience in a comparable institution or in the public service/private sector, having served as a Human Resource Officer or in an equivalent position.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
Senior Management Course lasting at least three weeks from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer applications.
Demonstrated merit, integrity and ability through work performance and results.
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Procurement Officer

Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will provide leadership in procurement and supply chain activities at the Polytechnic. The role includes coordinating procurement and disposal processes, overseeing inventory and advising management on procurement matters.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and develop the Polytechnic's procurement plan.
Supervise inventory and stock control.
Manage the disposal of boarded stores and equipment.
Plan supply chain management activities.
Coordinate warehousing activities, market surveys and research.
Coordinate procurement processes.
Prepare required management and statutory reports.
Provide secretariat support to the Asset and Disposal Committee.
Advise the Chief Principal on procurement matters in line with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
At least 3 years' experience in a comparable institution or in the public service/private sector, having served as a Procurement Officer or in an equivalent position.
Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Senior Management Course lasting at least three weeks from a recognized institution.
Active membership of KISM in good standing.
Certificate in computer applications.
Demonstrated merit, integrity and ability through work performance and results.
