Account Assistant

Salary: KSh 30,000 – KSh 50,000 per month
Location: Nairobi

Fold Pack is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Account Assistant to support the company’s daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with financial record keeping, reconciliations, payments, statutory compliance and other routine accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate entries for sales, purchases, expenses and payments.

• Prepare and reconcile customer and supplier account statements.

• Conduct regular bank and M-Pesa reconciliations.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue customer balances.

• Prepare payments for suppliers.

• Manage and account for petty cash transactions.

• Assist with stock and inventory reconciliations.

• Prepare schedules for VAT, PAYE and other statutory obligations.

• Handle eTIMS invoicing and carry out related reconciliations.

• Support payroll processing and preparation of monthly financial reports.

• Keep accounting records properly organised, complete and up to date.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies will be an added advantage.

• At least 2 years of practical accounting experience.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Sound understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations and basic tax compliance.

• Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, packaging, FMCG or other stock-based businesses will be an advantage.

• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within set deadlines.
