About the Role
Based in Dubai, the Account Manager – Business Intelligence will focus on expanding Dow Jones Business Intelligence solutions across the Middle East. The position is responsible for growing the existing customer portfolio, retaining clients, increasing account value, and managing the full sales cycle for Business Intelligence and Risk & Compliance solutions.
The role will primarily focus on generating new business revenue while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities across the Risk & Compliance product portfolio to meet individual revenue targets.
Manage existing Risk & Compliance accounts to support customer retention and increase contract value.
Work alongside senior management and marketing teams to ensure events, public relations, branding, and communications contribute effectively to sales objectives.
Analyse customers’ business challenges and sales requirements to recommend appropriate Risk & Compliance solutions and technologies using a consultative, solution-led sales approach.
Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including technology companies and organisations providing advisory services to the market.
Contribute strategic insights and thought leadership to the development of the Risk & Compliance business, including brand positioning, value proposition, and product roadmap discussions.
Develop new opportunities within the Business Intelligence and Risk & Compliance markets.
Identify opportunities to expand existing Dow Jones customer relationships through relevant additional solutions.
Use effective influencing and negotiation techniques to gain customer agreement and move opportunities through the sales cycle.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer challenges and communicate solutions in a way that reflects their specific business needs.
Work effectively with customers, colleagues, and partners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Manage multiple sales activities simultaneously and adjust priorities as required to achieve revenue objectives.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience selling to financial institutions and government organisations.
Fluency in both Arabic and English.
Degree-level education.
Experience selling information products, business intelligence solutions, compliance tools, or similar products to senior decision-makers.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements across the region.
Familiarity with Risk and Compliance products and solutions available in the market.
Demonstrated ability to generate new business from prospective customers as well as identify upselling opportunities within an existing customer base.
Strong influencing skills and the ability to secure customer commitment to proposed Risk & Compliance solutions.
Ability to discuss customer challenges confidently and demonstrate a clear understanding of their business issues.
Ability to remain effective when working with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing activities while maintaining focus on revenue targets.
