Position Summary

The Accountant will handle the accounting cycle for several legal entities in the Group.
This includes bookkeeping, financial reporting, ensuring compliance with laws and taxes, managing cash, preparing budgets, supporting audits, assisting with payroll, and keeping financial records up to date.

The role demands solid accounting knowledge, careful attention to detail, honesty, and the ability to manage financial tasks accurately and on time.


Qualifications & Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field is required.

Must be a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA(K)) or an ACCA finalist/member.

Should be an active member in good standing with ICPAK.

At least 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Must have a good understanding of IFRS.


Technical Skills & Knowledge

Should have a strong grasp of Kenyan tax laws and statutory duties, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, Corporation Tax, NSSF, SHIF, AHL, and KRA filings.

Must be skilled in accounting or ERP software.

Familiarity with eTIMS and electronic invoicing requirements is necessary.

Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting abilities are essential.

Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must show high integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills are required.

Ability to manage multiple entities and meet legal and reporting deadlines.

Good communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills are important.
