Position Objective A leading Events Management Company in Nairobi is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the company’s finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing reliable financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, managing cash flow, and strengthening internal control processes. The role will provide financial insight and support management in making informed business decisions that contribute to the organization’s operational efficiency and financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (K) or CPA Finalist status.
At least five years of demonstrable experience in accounting and financial management, preferably gained within the events, hospitality, service, or similar sectors.
Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements.
Practical experience using accounting and financial management systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel, or comparable ERP platforms.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct will be considered an added advantage.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships.
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, budget administration, forecasting techniques, and financial performance analysis.
