Senior Accountant
Location: Redhill, Limuru
Industry: Manufacturing
Tropical Heat Group, a manufacturer of snacks and spices in East Africa, is looking for a Senior Accountant to support and coordinate accounting activities under the supervision of the Chief Accountant. The position covers management accounts, credit control, working capital, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Complete daily bank reconciliations and resolve any identified variances.
Manage customer accounts, follow up outstanding payments and support effective credit control.
Prepare and maintain cash flow statements for financial planning and liquidity monitoring.
Oversee working capital management and efficient use of company resources.
Prepare and reconcile inventory reports against physical stock and system records.
Reconcile and submit monthly PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax and Withholding VAT returns within the required timelines.
Ensure daily van sales reconciliations are completed and variances addressed.
Supervise the Accounts Payable team and ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and on time.
Oversee the invoicing team to ensure invoices are accurately prepared and dispatched promptly.
Coordinate with Procurement on daily inventory postings and maintenance of accurate cost prices.
Work with Marketing to reconcile expenses and revenue associated with events and promotions.
Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor or director in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting.
CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
