Land and Property Valuation Officer – The Salvation Army

Job Overview

The Salvation Army Kenya East Territory is seeking a qualified professional to oversee property valuation, land acquisition, and related property matters. The successful candidate will provide technical advice on property investments, support land and title deed processes, and ensure property transactions comply with relevant legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Property Valuation

• Carry out professional valuations of properties owned by or being considered for acquisition by The Salvation Army Kenya East Territory.

• Assess properties and provide reliable valuation information to support organizational decision-making.

• Prepare detailed valuation reports and related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Land Acquisition and Title Processing

• Support the acquisition of land and plots on behalf of the organization.

• Facilitate the processing and acquisition of title deeds.

• Coordinate relevant documentation required for land and property transactions.

• Follow up on property-related processes to ensure transactions progress smoothly.

Property Advisory and Compliance

• Provide professional advice on property investment and management.

• Advise on property-related compliance and applicable legal requirements.

• Keep informed about Kenyan land laws and developments within the property market.

• Support the organization in addressing property matters in accordance with relevant regulations.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with government offices involved in land and property matters.

• Work with legal professionals and other relevant institutions during property transactions.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient completion of property processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Land Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.

• Registration with the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) and a valid practicing licence.

• At least 5 years of experience in property valuation and land acquisition processes.

• Strong knowledge of Kenyan land laws, property markets, and title deed processing.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.

• High level of integrity and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
