Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the IT Manager will oversee the hotel's technology operations and ensure reliable IT support across the property. The role involves managing the IT department, maintaining systems and infrastructure, supporting guests and hotel employees, and working with the Regional IT Team to meet brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily activities of the IT department and ensure reliable technical support and system availability across hotel operations.
Work closely with the Regional IT Team to maintain compliance with brand technology requirements and implement required system updates.
Act as the main escalation point for technical and operational problems raised by hotel employees and guests, ensuring issues are addressed quickly to minimize disruption to the guest experience.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of IT infrastructure and network systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving IT infrastructure, networks, and hospitality applications.
Maintain accurate records of hardware, software licenses, technical manuals, and other IT assets.
Keep IT inventory and documentation properly organized to support compliance requirements and ensure the department remains prepared for audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Relevant practical experience may also be considered.
Two to three years of IT experience within the hospitality sector.
Hands-on experience with hospitality technology systems, including PMS such as OPERA Cloud, POS platforms such as MICROS Simphony Cloud, Aruba networking solutions, and PBX systems.
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively while handling several responsibilities in a fast-moving hotel environment.
Strong service-focused approach with proactive problem-solving abilities.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from different departments and backgrounds.
Ability to work independently while also providing support and collaborating closely with the IT Coordinator.
