Associate Attorney Opportunities
We are seeking experienced Associate Attorneys to join several practice areas across our Wisconsin offices. Current openings include:
Corporate Associate – Milwaukee, with at least two years of relevant experience
Estate Planning Associate – Milwaukee or Madison, with at least three years of experience
Labor and Employment Associate – Green Bay or Appleton, with at least four years of experience
Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate – Milwaukee
About the Position
This is an opportunity for attorneys looking to advance their legal careers within a collaborative and progressive firm. Associates will handle sophisticated legal matters, work directly with clients and senior attorneys, and collaborate with colleagues across different offices and practice groups.
The successful candidates will be proactive, highly organized, detail-focused, and committed to delivering practical, business-oriented legal advice. The firm provides opportunities for direct client engagement, mentorship, professional development, and participation in business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Research legal issues and evaluate complex legal and commercial matters.
Prepare, review, and revise contracts, pleadings, memoranda, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Counsel clients and develop practical legal strategies that address their objectives and circumstances.
Take responsibility for assigned matters and projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are properly managed.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys, staff, and outside parties.
Work collaboratively with lawyers and professionals across offices and practice areas to deliver effective client service.
Keep informed about changes in applicable laws, regulations, and relevant industry developments.
Develop and maintain productive, long-term client relationships.
Participate in firm business development efforts and contribute to a positive team-oriented culture.
Handle additional responsibilities related to the position as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
Relevant legal experience gained in a law firm, corporate legal department, government organization, or similar professional environment. Specific experience requirements depend on the practice group.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in Wisconsin or eligibility for Wisconsin bar admission.
Strong legal research, writing, analysis, and document-drafting abilities.
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to handle multiple assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities in a demanding environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a consistent ability to produce precise, high-quality legal work.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to a team.
Demonstrated commitment to professional integrity, client service, teamwork, and high standards of legal practice.
Interest in working within a collaborative and intellectually challenging environment.
Strong motivation to contribute to both client outcomes and the firm's continued growth.
Availability to work full-time and adjust working hours when necessary to meet client requirements.
