Audit Intern
Department: Audit & Assurance
Reports To: Audit Senior / Audit Manager
Compensation: KSh 900 per day
Role Purpose
The Audit Intern will assist the Audit & Assurance team with various audit engagements, including preparing audit documentation, carrying out assigned audit procedures and supporting the team in delivering accurate and timely audit work.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of audit assignments under the direction of the Audit Senior or Audit Manager.
Compile, arrange and maintain audit working papers and relevant supporting documents.
Carry out basic audit checks, tests and verification of financial information.
Assist with collecting, reviewing and analyzing client records and other information required during audits.
Participate in stocktaking, cash verification and other field audit activities when necessary.
Support the preparation of audit schedules, documentation and reports.
Protect the confidentiality of all client and organizational information accessed during the course of work.
Complete allocated assignments accurately and within the specified deadlines.
Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Audit Senior or Audit Manager.

Completion of assigned audit activities within the required timelines.
Accuracy, completeness and overall quality of audit documentation.
Consistent adherence to established audit procedures and instructions.
Ability to develop and apply accounting and auditing knowledge in practical assignments.
Demonstrated professionalism, dependability and ability to work effectively with others.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Progress toward a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
Basic understanding of accounting concepts and auditing principles.
Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
High attention to detail and a positive attitude toward learning and professional development.
