Job Purpose:
The Audit Officer is tasked with carrying out audit assignments and checking how well the internal controls, risk management, and governance processes are working.
This role helps the Internal Audit team by finding weaknesses in controls, making sure there is compliance with policies and rules, and suggesting ways to improve the Bank’s control environment.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

- CPA-K qualification or being on track to complete it is required.

- Having CIA, CISA, ACCA, or other relevant certifications is a plus.

- Being a member of ICPAK, IIA-Kenya, or another relevant professional group is an added advantage.

- At least 3 years of relevant experience in audit, risk, compliance, or finance, especially in the banking or financial services industry.


Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of internal auditing, internal controls, risk management, and how banks operate.

- Familiarity with IFRS, CBK Prudential Guidelines, and other relevant banking rules.

- Skilled in using Microsoft Office, CAATs, and data analysis tools.

- Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.

- Good at writing reports and communicating clearly.

- Capable of working both on your own and as part of a team.

- Paying close attention to details and committed to delivering high-quality work.

- High level of ethics, honesty, and professional behavior.
