About the Role
The Internal Auditor will conduct independent audits to identify business risks, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen governance, enhance operational efficiency, and protect shareholder value.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
CPA (Part II) or a higher professional accounting qualification.
CISA and/or CIA certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in an internal audit role within a financial institution or an external audit firm.
Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal auditing practices.
Proficiency in information technology and audit analytics.
Practical experience using Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs), such as ACL.
Working knowledge of electronic audit working paper software, such as TeamMate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Core Competencies
Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work in different environments and travel when required.
Strong report writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
