Qualifications and Competencies
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant discipline.
A recognized professional certification in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Information Systems Audit, Fraud Examination, or Accounting, such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CFE, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
A minimum of ten years of progressive professional experience leading and executing complex internal audit assignments, including information technology audits, preferably within an international or similarly complex organization.
Relevant experience in areas such as enterprise risk management, internal controls, governance, assurance, risk evaluation, or information technology may be considered as an alternative to direct audit experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Experience in developing and implementing audit methodologies, processes, and procedures aligned with the standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Comprehensive understanding of internationally recognized auditing standards and frameworks related to governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
Practical experience using electronic audit management systems and digital audit working-paper tools.
Strong professional judgment, relationship-management skills, and the ability to build credibility while effectively engaging with stakeholders on sensitive, complex, or challenging matters.
Proven capability to conduct diverse audit engagements and provide assurance services across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and respect, while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and deliver presentations confidently and effectively in English.
Proficiency in French will be considered an added advantage.
