Barista

We are seeking an experienced Barista with at least two years of recent experience in a professional coffee shop or QSR environment. The successful candidate should be confident handling daily barista operations and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold beverages according to established company standards.

• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, taste, presentation, and portion sizes.

• Follow approved recipes, standard operating procedures, and food hygiene requirements.

• Provide welcoming and efficient customer service while recommending suitable beverage and pastry combinations.

• Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.

• Keep the coffee preparation area clean, organised, and hygienic at all times.

• Monitor coffee and other beverage-related stock and communicate restocking needs to the supervisor.

• Work closely with other team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods.

• Monitor coffee quality and freshness throughout the day and ensure products meet required standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience working as a Barista.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a QSR, coffee shop, café, or similar hospitality environment.

• Proficiency in using commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders.

• Good understanding of different coffee varieties and brewing techniques.

• Basic latte art skills.

• Ability to work quickly and accurately while handling multiple orders during peak hours.

• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Positive, friendly, and customer-focused approach.

• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required.

• Basic knowledge of inventory and stock management.
