The Business Development Representative in Dubai will join a diverse team focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities while supporting the growth of ACI Worldwide’s regional sales pipeline.
Job Purpose
The Business Development Representative will help drive revenue growth by researching, identifying, qualifying, and developing prospective business opportunities for the regional sales team. The role works closely with sales, field marketing, account executives, and inside sales teams to turn campaign engagement, events, account-based marketing activities, and outbound prospecting into qualified meetings and potential sales opportunities.
The position also requires disciplined prospect outreach, accurate account and contact research, timely lead follow-up, and comprehensive activity tracking within customer relationship management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
Research target companies, contacts, buying groups, and relevant market developments to support regional sales and marketing objectives.
Conduct outbound prospecting through email, telephone, LinkedIn, and other approved channels to generate qualified meetings.
Follow up promptly and systematically on leads generated through campaigns, webinars, events, executive forums, and account-based marketing initiatives.
Assess inbound and outbound prospects using established qualification criteria and direct qualified opportunities to the relevant account executive or sales leader.
Support strategic account mapping by identifying decision-makers, influencers, business units, and gaps in existing contact information.
Campaign and Event Follow-Up
Work with field marketing teams to implement post-campaign and post-event follow-up activities designed to turn engagement into sales discussions.
Share feedback with marketing teams regarding messaging effectiveness, account engagement, lead quality, and common objections raised by prospects.
Maintain structured follow-up schedules for priority accounts and high-value leads in line with campaign and sales objectives.
Support regional events by identifying relevant attendees, establishing prospect interest, and coordinating follow-up activities after events.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Sales Support
Collaborate with account executives and regional sales leaders to align prospecting efforts with territory strategies, named accounts, and pipeline objectives.
Provide sales teams with clear prospect notes, meeting information, and relevant account intelligence to facilitate effective handovers.
Take part in regular sales and marketing meetings to discuss performance, priorities, upcoming campaigns, actions, and challenges.
Represent ACI Worldwide professionally during initial prospect interactions and communicate the company’s solutions accurately at a high level.
Systems, Reporting and Data Management
Keep account, contact, activity, lead status, meeting results, and handover information accurate and current within CRM systems.
Monitor key activity and performance indicators such as outreach volume, prospect conversations, meetings secured, qualified leads, response rates, and opportunity progression where applicable.
Maintain high-quality data by accurately updating contact information, account intelligence, lead outcomes, and campaign attribution.
Provide management, sales, and marketing stakeholders with regular reports on progress, challenges, and recommended actions.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, lead generation, customer-facing sales support, or B2B marketing. Equivalent early-career experience may also be considered.
Experience or strong interest in enterprise software, financial services, fintech, payment technology, banking, merchant commerce, or B2B technology sales.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage prospective customers clearly and professionally.
Ability to conduct structured research on accounts and contacts and use findings to create targeted outreach.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with close attention to detail and the capacity to manage several follow-ups and deadlines simultaneously.
Comfortable working with CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools.
Willingness and confidence to make cold calls as part of initial prospect engagement.

Ability to understand business challenges and connect initial prospect discussions with relevant ACI Worldwide solution areas at a high level.
Strong persistence, professionalism, and discipline when following outreach schedules and recording activities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, field marketing, campaign marketing, inside sales, and regional leadership teams.
Ability to prioritize strategic accounts, high-value prospects, and urgent campaign follow-ups according to business priorities.
Comfortable working in a target-driven environment with measurable activity, meeting, and qualification objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting field marketing campaigns, account-based marketing initiatives, or event follow-up within a B2B environment.
Experience prospecting banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, retailers, merchants, or enterprise technology organizations.
Knowledge of payments, real-time payments, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, digital banking, or enterprise payments infrastructure.
Experience with sales engagement platforms, prospecting applications, data enrichment tools, and marketing automation systems.
Additional regional language skills relevant to the target market are an advantage but not required.
Ability to work effectively within a global matrix organization and support multiple sales stakeholders across different territories.

Work Authorization
Applicants must already have authorization to work full-time in the UAE. The position does not provide employment visa or work permit sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
