Job Responsibilities
Handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment from customers, verify eligibility, and process transactions accurately.
Deposit cash and other payment equivalents together with the Daily Activity Report (DAR) in the designated MWR central cashier’s night depository or Central Cashier cage.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in line with accounting and reporting requirements.
Ensure cash handling and deposit activities comply with applicable Navy MWR procedures and government-approved standards.
Conduct routine checks of daily transactions to confirm accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Provide professional customer service by communicating clearly in English, responding to enquiries, processing transactions, and resolving customer concerns.
Complete training and maintain proficiency in the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable Navy standards.
Follow and enforce safety procedures to maintain a secure environment for customers and staff.
Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of cashiering experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity within a retail, food service, or recreational environment.
Ability to accurately handle financial transactions and maintain required records and reports.
Ability to complete and maintain required training and certifications, including Customer Service, CPR, and First Aid, with annual recertification where required.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation with a professional and responsive approach.
Familiarity with customer service training, such as Navy MWR Star Service: Achieving Extraordinary Customer Relations (AECR), or an equivalent programme.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Valid passport with at least one year of validity at the time of hiring.
Ability to travel internationally and obtain country-specific visas as required.
Ability to successfully complete contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout deployment.
Ability to obtain and maintain required facility credentials or authorization.
