Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Skills:
- Possess a good understanding of various cooking methods
- Capable of preparing a wide range of dishes reliably
- Have knowledge about how different flavors combine, how to season properly, and how to present food attractively
- Familiar with different types of cuisines
Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Understand food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene
- Know how to prevent cross-contamination
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations
Attention to Detail:
- Follow recipes precisely
- Ensure the food meets high quality standards and is consistent
- Control portion sizes accurately
Time Management & Teamwork:
- Work efficiently to keep up with the pace
- Meet service goals even during peak times
- Collaborate well with others on the team
Creativity:
- Offer ideas for new dishes or improvements
- Adjust recipes as necessary to suit different needs
Adaptability:
- Be flexible with working hours
- Handle challenges such as busy periods or ingredient shortages
Qualification Requirements:
- Have formal culinary training or relevant work experience
- Hold food safety certifications
- Be able to read and understand recipes and measurements
