About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Cyber Security, the Cyber Security Manager will oversee important areas of the organisation’s cybersecurity programme. The position will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders and external security partners to strengthen security, manage risks and respond effectively to cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cybersecurity incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
Manage cybersecurity risks and assist the organisation in maintaining effective security controls.
Work with the Security Operations Centre and external security providers to detect, respond to and resolve security incidents.
Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, technical risk assessments and information security compliance reviews.
Promote adherence to information security policies, cybersecurity standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Track cybersecurity KPIs, identified risks and remediation activities, providing management with clear and timely updates.
Collaborate with Internal Audit and other stakeholders to identify IT risks, develop mitigation measures and ensure outstanding issues are closed.
Lead cybersecurity awareness programmes aimed at building and maintaining a strong security-conscious culture across the organisation.
Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Cyber Security team.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
At least 7 years of overall IT experience, including substantial IT security experience, with a minimum of 4 years working specifically in IT Security across areas such as cybersecurity, IT risk and IT audit.
Experience operating within complex hybrid IT environments involving both on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and control standards, including ISO 27001, CIS Critical Security Controls and NESA.
Practical knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) practices.
Professional certifications in cybersecurity, IT security or risk, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CEH or CRISC.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, together with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
