Job Purpose

The Dairy Farm Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the dairy section, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, milk production, hygiene, and operational efficiency. The role also involves supervising farm staff, maintaining accurate production records, and supporting the development of effective dairy management systems as the farm expands.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Dairy Production, Animal Science, Animal Health, Agriculture, or a related discipline.

• At least two (2) years of practical experience in dairy farm operations.

• Sound knowledge of dairy cattle nutrition, breeding, milking procedures, and disease prevention.

• Basic skills in dairy production record management.

• Previous experience leading or supervising farm employees will be an added advantage.

• Practical knowledge of modern dairy farming practices.

• Ability to coordinate, guide, and supervise farm personnel.

• Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to recognize and respond to common livestock health concerns.

• Competence in maintaining production records and preparing basic reports.

• High standards of integrity, accountability, and dependability.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays whenever operational needs require.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
