Job Description
We are looking for dependable and detail-focused Data Annotators to work from our office in Gachie, Kiambu County. The successful candidates will review video footage and accurately tag specific activities, objects, events, and behaviours based on established project instructions.
The annotated information will support technology designed to analyse activities and operations within the dairy farming sector.
Previous experience in data annotation is not required. Training, project documentation, and ongoing guidance will be provided. This position is suitable for individuals who are comfortable using computers, can follow detailed instructions, and are interested in developing practical experience in data annotation and technology-related work.
Key Responsibilities
Examine assigned video clips and other forms of visual information.
Identify and accurately label activities, objects, events, and behaviours specified by the project guidelines.
Complete annotation assignments using a web-based annotation platform.
Maintain consistency and accuracy throughout all assigned tasks.
Follow project instructions, annotation standards, and established procedures carefully.
Complete assigned work within the specified timelines.
Escalate unclear cases, challenges, or technical problems to the relevant supervisor.
Take part in training sessions, quality assessments, review exercises, and feedback activities.
Protect the confidentiality of project information and data.
Requirements
Applicants should:
Be comfortable working with computers and have confidence using basic computer applications.
Possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use new web-based systems.
Have sufficient written and spoken English to understand work instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Have strong attention to detail and the ability to carry out repetitive tasks accurately.
Be capable of following written procedures and clearly defined guidelines.
Be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in an office setting.
Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Be available to work on-site at the Gachie, Kiambu County office.
Previous Experience
Previous data annotation experience is not necessary, as full training will be provided.
Experience in data entry, data annotation, computer-based assignments, image or video review, or similar work is welcome but is not mandatory.
Computer / Laptop Requirement
Applicants are not required to own a laptop.
However, successful candidates must have at least basic computer-use skills.
