Junior Data Scientist
About the Role
The Junior Data Scientist will work alongside senior data scientists and cross-functional teams to analyze, interpret, and visualize data. The role will contribute to the development of data-driven solutions while also supporting training activities designed to improve data literacy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
Conduct engaging physical and virtual training sessions for individuals and groups.
Adjust training approaches to suit different learning styles and levels of proficiency.
Use practical examples and real-world case studies to help participants apply what they learn.
Data Science and Analysis
Work with senior data scientists and relevant stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop data-driven solutions.
Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to identify meaningful insights.
Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to address business challenges and support better decision-making.
Assist with the development and implementation of predictive models and algorithms.
Develop data visualizations and reports that clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate data science solutions into existing systems and business processes.
Keep up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and new approaches in data science.
Perform any other duties assigned by the company from time to time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong understanding of basic statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
Proficiency in tools and programming languages such as Python, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
Experience using data manipulation and analysis libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Good understanding of database management and SQL.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Previous internship or project experience in a data-related position.
Previous experience delivering training in a data-related role.
