Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a data center environment, including data center operations, colocation facilities, hyperscale environments, enterprise data centers, or other critical infrastructure environments.
Hands-on experience with server hardware and basic break/fix procedures.
Basic knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with fundamental commands and troubleshooting techniques.
Understanding of data center infrastructure, including cooling systems, power and electrical concepts, networking fundamentals, and structured cabling.
Ability to work rotating shifts in an onsite operations environment, including on-call support when required.
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and adherence to operational processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite support within a production data center environment, including hardware diagnostics, component replacement, and basic troubleshooting.
Assist with the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of data center equipment, including rack and stack activities and cabling support.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, system health checks, and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with established procedures.
Respond to incidents and service requests, perform initial triage, escalate issues appropriately, and document all actions taken.
Support network and structured cabling activities, including fiber and copper patching, cable labeling, cable management, and connectivity verification.
Maintain accurate inventory records for assets, spare parts, and equipment, including support for audits and inventory tracking.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational processes while contributing ideas to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and collaborate within a shift-based operational environment.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and foster positive working relationships across functions.
