Security Systems Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Design technical solutions for security and life-safety systems, including CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, Entrance Control, IPBAX and Intercom systems.
Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software, including working drawings and as-built drawings.
Conduct site surveys, assess requirements and prepare sketches to support solution design.
Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on the proposed system designs.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and other cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives and limitations.
Participate in project meetings with clients and other relevant stakeholders.
Manage project communication and documentation through preparation of Minutes of Meetings (MoMs).
Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members involved in project design activities.
Identify practical and strategic solutions aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of design work.
Keep up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies and modern design practices and incorporate relevant advancements into project deliverables.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable design standards, guidelines and established requirements.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field, including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or Urban Planning.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT and other relevant CAD design software.
Strong knowledge of design principles, brand identity and user-centred design approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage several projects concurrently, prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
