Position Summary
As a Medical Doctor with MSF in Dagahaley, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused medical care to refugees and host communities within a complex humanitarian setting. Working alongside a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, you will deliver evidence-based clinical services across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency departments while supporting continuous quality improvement, mentoring healthcare staff, and strengthening clinical practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Medical degree from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and in possession of a valid practicing licence.
A postgraduate diploma or qualification in Tropical Medicine will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
At least two years of post-qualification experience practicing as a Medical Doctor.
Previous experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, public health, infectious disease management, HIV/TB programmes, or humanitarian healthcare settings is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of Swahili and/or Somali will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong clinical assessment and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
Ability to remain effective under pressure and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced humanitarian environment.
