Key Responsibilities
Safely transport employees, management, visitors, and guests to designated destinations while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout each journey.
Operate the assigned 14-seater passenger van and other company vehicles in accordance with traffic regulations, company policies, and road safety standards.
Deliver and collect official documents, parcels, and other company materials promptly and securely.
Carry out routine vehicle inspections before and after every trip to confirm that vehicles are roadworthy and safe for operation.
Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of assigned vehicles.
Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle mileage, servicing schedules, insurance validity, and inspection certificates to ensure timely compliance.
Report vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly and coordinate repair or servicing activities where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, including logbooks, fuel consumption, mileage, servicing, and maintenance history.
Provide transportation support for airport transfers, official meetings, company events, and other organizational assignments.
Uphold professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while carrying out official duties.
Comply with all company health, safety, security, and transport policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). A Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Valid Kenyan driving licence with Class B1 and D2 endorsements. Class D1 endorsement is mandatory for operating a 14-seater passenger van.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Certification in Defensive Driving and First Aid will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
A minimum of ten years of professional driving experience.
Clean driving record with no history of major traffic offences or serious road safety violations.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent driving skills with thorough knowledge of Kenyan traffic laws and road safety regulations.
Strong defensive driving techniques and commitment to safe driving practices.
Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of minor mechanical issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize assignments effectively.
High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding schedules.
Flexibility to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends or public holidays, when operational needs require.
