Job Purpose
The person in this role will drive a motor vehicle, making sure it is secure, clean, and well-maintained.
They will also ensure the safety of passengers and goods while the vehicle is in use.

Job Specification
- Drive a motor vehicle that is authorized for the class or classes required.
- Do regular checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, and tire pressure.
- Report any problems or issues with the vehicle.
- Make sure all vehicle tools are in good working condition.
- Ensure that all work tickets are properly approved and kept up to date.
- Keep the vehicle secure and safe when it is on the road and when it is parked.
- Ensure that passengers and goods are safe while in the vehicle.
- Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness every day.
- Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authority.
Person Specification
To be considered for this position, a candidate must have:
- A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of D (Plus) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- A valid driving license with no current endorsements for the vehicle classes they are required to drive.
- Passed the Occupational Trade Test III for Drivers.
- A Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade, conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
- A certificate in a Refresher Course for drivers, lasting at least one (1) week every three (3) years, from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIBHT) or any other recognized institution.
- A certificate in a First-Aid course, lasting at least one (1) week, from St.
John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
- Met the requirements outlined in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Method of Application
Successful candidates shall be required to comply with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution and will be required to submit, among other documents:
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
Duly filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC);
A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
