Duties and Responsibilities

Operate the Fund’s vehicles as assigned and only with proper authorization.
Keep assigned vehicles clean and in good condition.
Prepare and submit required reports concerning the vehicles under your care.
Safeguard passengers, equipment and other goods being transported.
Take appropriate measures to protect vehicles both while driving and when parked.
Accurately maintain work tickets for every official trip undertaken.
Track motor vehicle insurance validity and promptly notify the relevant office of upcoming expiries.
Immediately report mechanical faults, breakdowns and road accidents.
Carry out routine inspections of the cooling, electrical and lubrication systems, as well as tyres and brakes.
Regularly examine assigned vehicles and communicate any faults or defects identified.
Ensure vehicles are operated strictly for approved official duties.
Comply fully with traffic laws and requirements under the Traffic Act.
Notify the police and the office without delay whenever an accident or other relevant incident occurs.
Arrange and follow up on scheduled servicing and preventive vehicle maintenance.
Undertake messenger and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements for Appointment

KCSE mean grade D+ or an equivalent qualification obtained from a recognized institution.
A minimum of three years of satisfactory driving experience gained after acquiring a driving licence.
Successful completion of the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III.
A valid driving licence covering Classes B1, B2, D1 and D2, depending on the type of vehicle assigned.
The driving licence must have been valid and in active use for at least three years.
Completion of a drivers’ refresher course of at least one week every three years at the Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology or another recognized institution.
A First Aid training certificate obtained through a course lasting at least one week from St. John Ambulance or another recognized institution.
A current Certificate of Good Conduct.

Deputy Director, Insurance Services – Five (5) year contract, renewable subject to performance and retirement age.
Driver – Permanent and Pensionable.
Young Professional, Internal Audit – One (1) year contract
