Job Description:
Collect waste from the commercial and residential clients you are assigned to in a way that is both efficient and responsible.
You will oversee the loaders and make sure they do their tasks properly, so that the company clients have a good impression of the company.
Ensure that the loaders collect all the waste from the clients and nothing else.
Complete the delivery forms and send the paperwork for processing on time.
Carry out basic mechanical tasks related to the vehicle.
Be able to operate the tipper and skip loader.
Keep the truck's fuel efficiency at a certain level, which may vary depending on the truck.
Do a check before and after each trip, including checking the tires, fuel, oil, and other necessary parts.
Fill out the checklist and give it to the logistics team.
Make sure the trucks are not overloaded.
Ensure that the tarpaulin is properly secured to protect the waste materials inside.
Ensure that the truck is in compliance with all NTSA regulations at all times.
Follow all traffic laws, safety rules, and company policies at all times.
Deal with clients in a professional manner, in line with the company’s core values, and address any concerns they may have to ensure they are happy with the service.
Keep accurate records of all the waste collected, deliveries made, and any incidents that happen during your work.
Share this information clearly with the logistics team.
Give the logistics team advice on improving the routes.
Report any suspicion of theft or any issues immediately to the logistics team or manager.
Requirements:
Have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Have completed KCPE education or higher.
Have proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting or a related field.
Know the local routes and areas, as well as NTSA and highway regulations.
Be able to operate trucks and related equipment.
Show a strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
Have good time management skills and be able to work independently.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Be willing to work in various weather conditions.
Be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
