VIP Driver

Salary: Ksh 50,000 Gross per Month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, responsible, and trustworthy VIP Driver to provide secure, dependable, and professional transport services. The successful candidate should have a proven background transporting VIPs or high-profile individuals, preferably with practical experience in political settings or political campaigns. The role requires discretion, adaptability, excellent judgment, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport the assigned principal and approved passengers.

• Prepare routes ahead of journeys and adjust them when schedules, traffic, or travel plans change.

• Use defensive driving techniques and consistently prioritize passenger safety.

• Keep all information concerning movements, schedules, discussions, and other sensitive matters strictly confidential.

• Carry out regular vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical or safety-related issues.

• Ensure the assigned vehicle remains clean, adequately fueled, properly serviced, and ready for use.

• Maintain vehicle mileage, fuel, servicing, and other relevant records as required.

• Comply fully with Kenyan traffic regulations and road safety requirements.

• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and standard of conduct.

• Remain available and adaptable to changing schedules, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be between 35 and 50 years of age.

• At least 5 years of professional driving experience, including demonstrated experience transporting VIPs, political principals, or other high-profile individuals.

• Previous experience working in political campaigns or political environments is highly preferred.

• Possession of a valid Kenyan driving licence and a clean driving history.

• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct is mandatory.

• Defensive Driving Certificate from a recognized institution is required.

• Excellent knowledge of Nairobi roads, including routes around Mt. Kenya, traffic conditions, alternative routes, and navigation applications.

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, with the ability to recognize and report mechanical faults.

• First Aid training or certification will be an added advantage.

• High standards of integrity, discretion, dependability, punctuality, and professionalism.

• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Must currently live in Nairobi or the immediate surrounding areas.

• Must be ready and available to start work immediately.

Work Schedule and Conduct

• Must be highly flexible with working schedules and available when required, including weekends and public holidays, subject to applicable statutory rest days and leave entitlements.

• This position is strictly non-smoking and alcohol-free. Candidates who smoke, drink, or use any form of substances should not apply.

• The successful applicant will be expected to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion at all times.

What We Offer

• Gross monthly salary of Ksh 50,000.

• Initial 6-month probationary contract.
