Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain professional working relationships with container coordinators, loaders, off-loaders, direct sales agents, and other colleagues involved in daily operations.
Ensure the timely transportation of filled gas cylinders to designated distribution points and the collection of empty cylinders in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and guidelines when transporting and handling company products.
Safely operate and take full responsibility for the assigned company vehicle during deliveries and collections.
Conduct routine pre-trip vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness before each journey.
Monitor vehicle servicing schedules and ensure maintenance requirements are completed on time.
Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
Safeguard all vehicle accessories and safety equipment, including the first aid kit, fire extinguishers, and tool kit.
Complete all delivery and collection procedures accurately using both physical documentation and the company's mobile application, while adhering to approved SOPs.
Verify that all required statutory documents—including EPRA and NTSA licences, insurance, inspection certificates, branding approvals, and inter-county permits—are valid before commencing any trip.
Achieve efficient turnaround times at stock and delivery locations in line with established key performance indicators (KPIs).
Drive in full compliance with the Kenya Traffic Act (Cap. 404) and all applicable road safety regulations.
Report accidents, incidents, or operational issues immediately and in accordance with company reporting procedures.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor in support of operational requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
A valid driving licence with a minimum classification of Class C.
A valid EPRA driver's licence.
At least two years of professional driving experience in a corporate or commercial environment.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
