Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and carry out electrical repairs to minimize equipment and system downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, distribution panels, equipment, and fixtures.
Operate and maintain backup power systems, including generators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units.
Supervise electrical work undertaken by contractors and ensure compliance with required standards.
Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or non-compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company health and safety procedures.
Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to support installation and maintenance work.
Carry out physically demanding tasks, including working at heights using ladders or scaffolding and installing electrical conduit where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Valid electrician's licence in good standing.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience as an Electrical Technician in a busy commercial building or similar environment.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
