Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and carry out electrical repairs to minimize equipment and system downtime.

• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, distribution panels, equipment, and fixtures.

• Operate and maintain backup power systems, including generators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units.

• Supervise electrical work undertaken by contractors and ensure compliance with required standards.

• Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or non-compliance with applicable regulations.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and operational documentation.

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company health and safety procedures.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to support installation and maintenance work.

• Carry out physically demanding tasks, including working at heights using ladders or scaffolding and installing electrical conduit where required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering.

• Valid electrician's licence in good standing.

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as an Electrical Technician in a busy commercial building or similar environment.

• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
